wayLander leaves Gambit

Jan "wayLander" Rahkonen has announced via Twitter that he is no longer part of Gambit Gaming's lineup.

The Finnish player did not explain the reason for his departure, but, judging from the message he left on Twitter, it was a team decision.

Gambit pulled off one of the biggest upsets at the recent MLG Columbus Major, knocking EnVyUs out of the tournament following a sensational display from Jan "⁠wayLander⁠" Rahkonen, who boasted a 1.67 rating.


wayLander is out of Gambit 

The CIS-based team ended up finishing third of their group in Columbus after being defeated by CLG 1-2 in the decider match.

According to a statement issued by Gambit, the organisation will begin on Tuesday "emergency negotiations" with a view to finding a replacement for wayLander.

With the 21-year-old's exit, the team currently consist of:
