CEVO unveil Americas Minor quals.

CEVO have revealed the details for their MLG Regional Minor Championship Americas Online Qualifiers which will start on April 25.

Yesterday, MLG announced the details for the Americas Minor, for which they invited four teams and granted four spots for qualifying teams, three to North America and one to South America. CEVO have now unveiled the qualifier dates and format as the two regional tournaments will be deciding the last four teams to participate in the $50,000 Minor.

Tempo Storm, OpTic, Selfless, and NRG have received invitations to the Americas Minor and their goal will be to reach the grand final at the tournament to book their tickets to the ESL One Cologne 2016 Offline Qualifier.

SEMPHIS' TSM will go through the qualification process

The South American qualifier, which features eight invited teams, will be the first in line and is set to take place on April 25th and 26th. The contest will have a single-elimination bracket and all the matches will be played as a best-of-three. The winner among these eight will qualify for the Americas Minor:

The competition up north will be much more fierce as the action will kick off with a 128 team stage named the Preliminary Bracket. The format will be double-elimination and the upper bracket matches will have a best-of-three format while the lower bracket will see best-of-ones being played. The final eight teams from the open qualifier will advance to the next stage: Championship Bracket.

Joining the qualified teams will be eight invited teams and the Championship Bracket will take place on May 8th. The format will be the same as the previous stage and teams from the Preliminary Bracket will get matched to the invited teams in their first matches. Here are the teams for the Championship Bracket from which three teams will qualify for the MLG Regional Minor Championship Americas:

Sorry, stealing your comment for visibility but why the hell SA have 8 invited teams? It doesn't make any sense. There's no absolute top1 team in Brazil so why 8 invitees instead of like 2 + 6 coming from a open qualify? If these teams are that good, they will qualify but seeing all the spots filled without giving chance to the other teams is just lame and sad.

they were top 5-8th in the March's professional league. gamersclub.com.br/campeonatos/csgo/270 (then click in Tabela) not saying they're arent GOOD. they should've been one of the invitees. all other regions have invited teams but other teams coming from an open qualify. the SA regions is the only different.

since you're not able to interpret, let me draw it for you: my question is related to the SA Minor Qualifier inviting ALL the teams that will participate instead of just inviting 2-3 and let other 6-5 battle their way for the other spots. All other regions have invitees and teams that will play an open qualify. Why SA is different? I am not talking about the Minor Qualify itself, but rather the SA Minor Qualify. There, was it that difficult?

Talking about the teams, only 2kill gaming (a team from Argentina that is living in brazil playing in a br org) could compete in a similar level (although i wouldn't say that they are better than any of these). Even though, I think that should only be given 4 directly invites, and the other 4 should be put in a qualify. That would give the oportunity for everybody from every country fight for a place.
