DH Tours qualifier set to start

The first closed qualifier for the European Minor at DreamHack Tours will kick off on Sunday, with 16 teams fighting for four spots at the French event.

The qualifying stages for DreamHack Tours began on Saturday with the first open qualifier, hosted by FACEIT and featuring 512 teams from all over Europe.

Teams like ENCE, Copenhagen Wolves and Metapods all managed to break into the top eight in this open bracket, securing spots in the closed qualifier, in which they will be joined by eight invited sides.

ENCE topped the open bracket

The closed qualifier will consist of a single-elimination, best-of-three bracket, with all four semi-finalists advancing to the $50,000 European Minor, which will be held at DreamHack Tours from May 14-16.

Below you can find the Round of 16 match-ups for the first closed qualifier for the European Minor:

Denmark Dignitas vs. France Red Instinct

Denmark SK vs. Europe Escape
Bulgaria E-frag.net vs. Europe nerdRage
Sweden GODSENT vs. Norway deadweight
Poland CSGL vs. Denmark CPH Wolves
Europe HellRaisers vs. Sweden Metapods

E-frag and ENCE are more or less even. The faced each other in 3 separate Bo3s recently and all 3 went 2-1 with E-Frag taking 2 and ENCE taking 1. Most of the maps in the 3 matches were very close as well. As for SK, if I interpreted the article correctly, this is a LAN, so SK are fucked. SK also lost to ENCE recently, so I see them going out early (potentially even to Escape, who I think are very capable of pulling off the upset).

E-frag is much better than HR. You could make the argument for AGG but they are inconsistent because Hyper sometimes toggles off. CSGL is also decent but have had subpar performances in recent memory.

Hey guys, I see you don't really know the scene, just the "hyped" teams, so I come here to enlighten u a bit :D Escape is pretty much in that top4, they've beaten digni, HR and Godsent too, only unknown challange for them is ENCE

ence tops bracket = goes against dignitas who should have been in a major. Something went wrong when you dont even get a slightest advantage winning the open qualifier.
