E-frag.net lose team

The Bulgarian team has announced via Twitter today that they have left the Serbian organization and are looking for a new home.

The team has been playing under the E-frag.net banner since July, 2015. In that time they were able to solidify themselves as one of the twenty best teams in the world (according to the HLTV.org rankings).

nkl and co. are no longer with E-Frag.net

In a statement given to HLTV.org, Nikolay "⁠nkl⁠" Krastev had the following to say:

"I would like to thank E-Frag.net and their staff for the trust and help, when we needed it. One of the main reasons is that there are things we wanted to be changed in the new contract, we gave them that chance to improve, but unfortunately nothing changed in the past few months.

Of course they are really great guys and you can definitely trust them, we can guarantee it. The next LAN event for us will be the ESEA Premier LAN finals on 7th of May in Leicester, where we face HellRaisers in the semi-final. From now on we will use tag MK until we find a new organization.

If there is someone who's interested in us please write an e-mail to [email protected]."

E-frag have also released a statement of their own:

We are sad to announce that we have let our Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team go. We feel that having an eSports club goes against the competitive integrity of our tournaments and events. It's also a barrier to achieving our long term goal of producing high quality events and broadcasts as well as developing grassroots CS:GO. We saw an opportunity with the team earlier last year and took it, it was an excellent learning curve for us and it helped us learn what teams experience and most importantly what they need during events and tournaments. We aren't interested in pursuing our esports club project.

We are very proud of the team whilst they were under our organisation with how well they had performed. We hope that we provided them with the best environment for their professional development and were a stepping stone for their future

success. We would also like to thank the team for their time under our organisation and also to wish them luck wherever their new home may be.

The team was most recently seen at the Copenhagen Games 2016 where they were able to reach the grand final, placing second right behind HellRaisers. Their next event will be the ESEA Premier Season 21 Europe Finals on May 7th in Leicester, England.

They have trouble with valve sponsored events and a few others because dreamer is not allowed to play since an account of his was stolen and Vac banned. Most of the qualifiers for those they have to use a stand in as well. I'm pretty confident they would qualify for a lot more stuff if they were allowed to play with their main 5 and they are pretty solidly top 20 and have very interesting set ups and very good T side play. They are one of the most interesting teams to watch on the T side imo.

I think "account stolen" is the worst excuse ever for a VAC ban. Am I really supposed to buy that? It's really like a 5 year-olds excuse. On other topic, I really wonder how much those email addresses that are given out for business inquiries get spammed by HLTV trolls :D

He switched accounts for every single league he was in over a month before the account was Vac banned. Also quite a few leagues have looked at his evidence that it was stolen and considered it sufficient to allow him to play. If you can explain to me why a player would stop using their main account and then cheat on it and get it banned while not getting their new account banned I will listen, but it doesn't make any sense to me. His story pretty much checks out IMO.

cmon Valve is shit, they probably never investigated at all, and dream3r made a post with proof that his account was stolen, they never even replied to say if it was true or not. With the way they left Gplay no serious organization will want them to join. Plus the VAc issue with dream3r (although he is not guilty), which can ruin the orga reputation. The problem with this team is that they believe some decent results will help them get main sponsor. But it takes much more things to have contract. You will need to behave, to create solid fan base, so the audience will buy your products (t-shirts, named hardware, etc.) There is one more thing - if they want to become one of the top teams, they need to replace nkl. He is a decent T3 player and the team should look for better one. But not pnshr, cause his skills are on similar level. I personally would like to see -nkl+XANTARES change.

I Think it's laughable when both parties say that they had to part ways with the other when it's clearly only one of them that can leave the other. In this case the players makes themselves look unprofessional by suggesting that they left the organization because of bad contracts, but they don't even seem to have contacted other organizations since they blatantly give out a mail address in case any org. Wants to get in touch with them. If they left the org. Why would efrag themselves put out a statement explaining how they could not keep them because of "ethical reasons" when they are a tournament org. (this sounds like such bs and I am willing to rather belive that they simply cant afford to keep the team but there is no way you tell that to the public ey??) Reading the two statements makes the whole situation seem so childish and it really highlights how undeveloped our scene still is at this level.
