Space Soldiers win GO:CL Season 3

Space Soldiers won the Global Offensive Champions League Season 3 this weekend, defeating AGG 3-0 in the grand final (16-9 on Mirage, 16-12 on Train, and 19-16 on Dust2).

Dreamz Media have hosted three Global Offensive Champions League tournaments so far and the online cups have seen previous winning teams such as Na`Vi and dignitas crowned champions in past seasons.

The third season of the GO:CL offered up $20,000 for 16 teams and eight eventual teams made their way to the playoffs by late March.

XANTARES had another phenomenal series

Although Dignitas were widely expected to win the event as the most high profile and high ranked team competing, the Danish-Norwegian team were surprised by the dark horse that is Space Soldiers in the semifinals in a close series. Other well-known teams such as GODSENT and PENTA lost in the quarter-finals.

The grand finals were thus a showdown between Space Soldiers and the Poles of AGG but the best-of-five match was no contest as the Turks, led as usual by the efforts of Ismailcan "⁠XANTARES⁠" Dörtkardeş, powered their way to victory in three straight maps.
