Selfless eliminate NRG at DH Austin
Selfless have eliminated NRG from DreamHack Austin after a 2-1 victory (Overpass 19-16, Train 11-16, Cache 16-8).
DreamHack Austin's Group B elimination match started on Selfless' pick, Overpass. Skyler "Relyks" Weaver's team got off to a quick 6-1 start as CT despite losing to glocks on the third round.
Peter "ptr" Gurney's 1-on-2 clutch then gave them a second, followed up by two more as Selfless had to go on a double eco. Michael "MAiNLiNE" Jaber's opening kills in most of the remaining gunrounds of the first half helped his team take four out of five rounds, making it 10-5.
With another pistol round victory, Selfless made it to a seven-round lead, but yet another full eco round win from NRG rocket-started their slow but steady comeback. Fatih "gob b" Dayik and company were able to take the game to overtime despite Selfless opening up rounds time and time again.
Selfless made up for their previous misplays by taking three rounds on the T side, with newcomers Noah "Nifty" Francis and Mitch "mitch" Semago doing most of the fragging. Shortly after they were also able to win their map pick after two rounds on the CT side at 19-16.

gob b made a valiant effort on Overpass
Train was a very different story indeed. Nikola "LEGIJA" Ninić's all-headshot triple in the pistol set NRG up for a 3-0 lead without dropping a single man (with the exception of a suicide of one Samuel "SileNt" Portillo).
NRG kept pinning down the defense when they picked up two AWPs and even with multiple rounds going down to clutch situations, Selfless couldn't find a way in until round eight. They still didn't string more rounds together as NRG wrecked their economy, but managed to take two at the end of the half.
With three more rounds at the start of their CT side after losing the pistol and winning the forcebuy, Selfless were looking to slowly grind back into the game. Their hopes of taking the series 2-0 were eventually scared away once NRG were able to trade a few rounds for 16-11.
NRG were the ones to get an early lead on map three, Cache, but Selfless were quick to get back on their feet, a lot of which could be accounted to Nifty's AWP. After 6-4 in his team's favor the rounds went back and forth before NRG took the last two rounds thanks to clutch play from Justin "just9n" Ortiz and ptr.
The pistol round went Selfless' way as Nifty and mitch got doubles to their names, and their team continued to thrive from there on. NRG could only defend one of the attacks, while Selfless took convincing rounds one after another, closing the series out at 16-8, 2-1.
