South Africa in ESEA Global Challenge

South Africa will be the last region included in ESEA's Global Challenge LAN, which will feature eight teams from North America, Europe, South America, Africa, Asia, and Oceania.

ESEA have expanded to South Africa, opening registration for their Season 22 League which will garner the winning team the last spot available at the ESEA Global Challenge LAN where $50,000 will be on the line. ESEA have also introduced Roberto "⁠blackpoisoN⁠" Dall'Occo, a player who just returned after a stint in Europe, as South Africa's community manager.

"This is a very special moment for the South African community as we are excited to see the involvement of a very reputable organization. With ESEA coming to South Africa, we will be a step closer to the international stage. The infrastructure in South Africa has greatly improved over the last few years and I feel that now would be the perfect time to step into the South African scene."

ESEA's expansion into South Africa will be another step toward making Counter Strike grow in the periphery, with additional infrastructure for local teams and the opportunity for the champions to face new opposition at an international event.

Since then, the community has continued to grow but hasn't been given the proper resources to make a true impact. With this launch, and the inclusion of South Africa in our Global Challenge LAN, we are excited to see what the region can accomplish with proper support."

yes we do, probably better than some of your countries not to offend anyone also. we play from north africa in european servers such as germany,france etc with 50 ping which some players of your region in the nordic countries get most of the time 60-70 when i play with them in southern european servers. we can even play in russian,swedish servers but the ping will reach 80. so next time get some proper information before assuming anything. north africa is nothing like afghanistan or central africa. and FYI Morrocco is 1000 times richer than your country. /close.

why so offensive? i know that north africa has higher living conditions than the rest of africa but you stated that the whole middle east and north africa should have some sort of representation in the scene, and far from every country there are domestically stable which lead me to think that this should realistically affect the overall infrastructure.
