HLTV.org presents Aim or Die 1v1 cup

HLTV.org presents a 1v1 aim_map tournament run in partnership with Wombo.gg, which will give out $100 across the top five contestants.

Wombo.gg is a tournament platform where players can compete against each other for either real money or the website's digital currency, WomboCoins.

They will be hosting an online cup called HLTV.org "Aim or Die", open to a total of 128 players, where the competitors will face each other in a single elimination bracket on aim_map.

The tournament will give out $100 in prizemoney, with the winner taking away $45, while the runner-up will grab $25.

HLTV.org "Aim or Die" will go live on Thursday, June 16th at 18:00 . If you'd like to participate, you can sign up free of charge in the tournament page here. To sign up, you need to create a profile on Wombo.gg and provide all the necessary details.

Arena FPS are dead because: noobs don't like getting 0-30'd, they don't have a skin market or gambling, graphics generally aren't "pretty" enough, no huge breasted grills stream it and the movement techniques are "too complicated". Meanwhile CS 1v1 is the most casualized thing in this world.

And in csgo that interest comes from what? skins boosting valve's wallet so they invest it partially back into majors and people gain interest in csgo because of the "hype" from $$$. Before csgo had skins or majors no one gave a single fuck about it. The gameplay itself did not get improved a lot apart from minor fixes and changes which introduced more bugs and a few low priority features since the growth through skins and majors. In 1v1 the game becomes even more watered down due to being 75/25 rng and aimskill while arena fps offer a huge variety of different skillsets other than pure aimskill and generally way less RNG.
