FaZe move on to ELEAGUE group final

FaZe have secured a spot in ELEAGUE's Group D final, against fnatic, after defeating dignitas on three maps (16-10 on Cache, 14-16 on Overpass and 16-14 on Mirage).

The series began on Cache, where FaZe got off to a great start by picking up the pistol round with a fast B execute, with Philip "⁠aizy⁠" Aistrup handling a 1vs2 situation really well. FaZe eventually carried their momentum going into the gun rounds as they stormed to a 5-0 lead.

dignitas finally responded thanks to two crucial keys from Mathias "⁠MSL⁠" Lauridsen to stop an A push, but their economy was reset in the following round as FaZe rallied back. Every time that a round went dignitas' way, FaZe would hit back right after, with the European mixture taking a comfortable 12-3 half-time lead.

In the second half, dignitas won the pistol round and the corresponding anti-ecos to reduce the deficit to five rounds. After buying up, FaZe got a couple of rounds on the board, and just when it seemed that they would close it out, Jesper "⁠TENZKI⁠" Plougmann rescued dignitas with a 1vs2 clutch on a force buy.

dignitas continued pressing on and eventually hit double digits, but then FaZe tightened up their defense and picked up back-to-back rounds to secure a 16-10 finish.

Map two was Overpass, where FaZe got out to a quick 2-0 lead following a B retake in the pistol round. A successful third-round buy powered dignitas to reverse the deficit, but then FaZe's firepower came into play as aizy and Håvard "⁠rain⁠" Nygaard pulled off insane individual actions to keep the score even. The European mixture continued in the driving seat until the end of the first half as they took a commanding 11-4 lead.

dignitas came out of the break looking very strong and won eight of the first nine rounds to level the score at 12-12. With some crucial AWP entry frags, Ricardo "⁠fox⁠" Pacheco put FaZe on the verge of victory, but dignitas picked up the final four rounds to lock down the map 16-14.

Fabien "⁠kioShiMa⁠" Fiey opened the game up on Mirage with a quad kill, with dignitas hitting back on a force buy thanks to two stunning Deagle entry frags. FaZe replied in the following round, however, and eventually took a 4-1 lead. The rest of the half was highly-contested as neither side were able to stamp their authority on the game, with dignitas taking a narrow 8-7 lead into the second half.

rain came flying out of the gate and picked up a quad kill in the pistol round as Terrorists to restore parity at 8-8. That win sparked a massive round from FaZe, who brought the scoreline to 14-10. dignitas tightened up their defense in the final rounds in an effort to take the game to overtime, but FaZe held on and picked up a 16-14 win that takes them through to Friday's final, live on TBS.

They really need to kick Fox if they wanna have a chance to win a major in the future. He does not have the talent required to consistently perform in a tier1 team. Bring Oskar and Faze has a real chance

fox was topfragging against fnatic and carried faze against gambit which was a game they would have lost probably if fox didnt do the 1v3 quad kill and the 2v5 ace. You guys always ignore when he has good games, but when his teammates already do everything and he just gets the important kill here and there,you immediately go cry on hltv that oskar needs to come who is shit at rifling and would have the same role as fox has in faze which is support awping. Oskar is not better then any of the faze riflers to take any of their roles, so it would be the same still

Haha even you portuguese know it's true. 45 kills in 3 maps, by far the lowest in both teams. And it's always been like this with this line up. There are no arguments against replacing him for Oskar. Oskar has the same role and is just a more complete player.

If fox played always vs tier 3/4 teams he would also have a great ratio. Look at hellraisers games hltv.org/?pageid=188&teamid=5310 Metapods, Epsilon, CSGL, AGG, aTTaX, Torpedo, Empire while FaZe: NiP, Fnatic, Mouz, Astralis, G2... When fox played for k1ck he also had a beast KD... it's easy when you play vs tier 3 teams and you're a beast. Still, oskar is a beast, but not THAT better than fox as everyone says comparing onlt stats, but not teams played.

That is the exact reason I don't like fox. They're a team with some great individual skill, but when one player in the team isn't able to properly communicate it brings down their potential.

Not that fox is bad by any means, but his performances tend to be quite underwhelming, even if he shines from time to time. What people forget to take into consideration is the economic cost of fox on the team. Being the dedicated awp:er it would be interesting to see his and the team's Money Earned - Money Spent ratio ($Earned/$Spent). A player like Oskar could definitely move Faze up a level, making them a fearsome tier-1 competitor.

nope, not true. Fox is a support player, a support awp player that only gets important kills, the 1 kill their, maybe 2 kills in another round that wins his team the round. He will not get 3ks or 4ks, is not supposed to do that, there are 4 others that can. And if oskar really joined, he would have similar stats to fox. Bc oskar is not a better player then any of the 4 other riflers in Faze and he would have to settle as a support.

Doesn't matter if he has a support role or not, he's still picking up the AWP almost every damn time. Secondly, his so called support role was something coined when maikelele was AWP:ing, if you watch Faze today you will often see Fox going for aggressive peaks etc. and very little actual 'support play'. Give Oskar a better surrounding, like the players in Faze, hand him the AWP and you will most certainly see that he'll hit a lot more shots than fox. I'm not arguing that fox is a bad player, I'm merely pointing out the fact that it is highly unlikely that Faze will reach the top with him on the roster.

fox is almost never going aggresive, literally never. The only places he goes aggresive sometimes is b main in cache and thats is. He used to do it also on banana, but thats gone so... man, im pretty sure i know more about fox then you ;) since kinguin won 16-0 vp, i have watched every single match possible of them, and i've seen everything of fox. So pls, dont teach me ok... he is and he has always been the support player, even with the awp. The players that go aggresive now are rain and kio ,not fox Hes also pretty ok now the the rifles as well

Guess that's why he went on an aggressive peak in UG from stairs on Overpass, whiffed his first shot, got molo:d, decided to re-peak in the molo, missed again, died from fire. A few rounds later, he goes on an aggressive peak towards fountain, misses his first shot again, hits his second shot while they rush him, luckily he had Rain playing from toilets supporting him and saving his ass. Once again, I don't dislike fox or think that he's a bad player. I just don't believe that Faze will become a top team while he plays for them. You're not a 'support player' if you're the player that your team keeps spending the largest amount of money on in games. Since you've seen 'everything' fox has done, feel free to tell me how many times in the past few months he's played a weapon like shotgun/pistol/ump/had the only kit on a buy round and played in a position where he either sets up pop-flashes for team mates or baits for them.

Those were meant for you since you vigorously have watched every single Kinguin/G2/Faze game for a long time and have seen EVERYTHING fox has done (sarcastic tone). rain and aizy seem to be the only guys that play on this team ffs convince twist, schneider and pronax of joining you, having their own orga doesn't mean they can't leave, Astralis let cajunb go easily, and Godsent can shut down to join FaZe.
