Immortals add zews; SHOOWTiME out

Immortals have acquired the services of SK's former coach, Wilton "zews" Prado, who replaced Gustavo "SHOOWTiME" Gonçalves on the team.

Last night Gabriel "⁠FalleN⁠" Toledo revealed on Brazilian television channel Esporte Interativo that SK's coach, Wilton "⁠zews⁠" Prado, was on his way out of the team to pursue a player career once again.

The rumours of him joining Immortals have now been confirmed, as the organization bought the former coach out of his contract with SK Gaming, while Gustavo "⁠SHOOWTiME⁠" Gonçalves was shown the exit door shortly after winning DreamHack ZOWIE Open Summer.

SHOOWTiME makes room for zews in Immortals

The move sees the Brazilians add some much-needed experience, as up to now they were the youngest roster in HLTV.org's Team Ranking's top 20.

zews was brought in to take up the in-game leadership role, which was occupied by Ricardo "⁠boltz⁠" Prass after Luis "peacemaker" Tadeu left the team to coach Liquid, though the team admitted the player wasn't happy with his own performance as a result.

"Like most, the dream to play is always there. After getting news that the Immortals players wanted me to lead them, that dream was rekindled instantly." Prado said in a statement.

"Immortals is the kind of organization that doesn't make hasty decisions. Every detail is analyzed before something like this is decided and the fact that they believe in me to lead this team just makes me more confident in myself and what I can do. I feel Immortals has everything that a winning team needs. Their pure, raw talent and incomparable passion have already lead them to high moments in their careers. Still, they didn't feel it was enough, and trusted me with helping them to take the next step. I will not let them down."

He knows all basics and tactics to succeed in csgo but it might now work. A lot of old school players tried to come back but they are not good anymore. forest, get_right, markeloff, neo etc all of them are OK but not outstanding as they used to be, while zews was inactive for a while, so he can sucks just like starix or zonic when they tried to be stand-ins in their teams

They won two lans (CEVO and Dreamhack Summer) beating the likes of Virtus on bo5, NiP, Dignitas and GODSENT on bo3's... but they FAILED huge on both major qualifiers, losing to F3 twice. They are great in tournaments that aren't major qualifiers, this move was to make them a good team in any tournament.

Both teams lose. SK was winning and should not make any change at all. Zews as a player will not be much different than SHOWTIME as he never was a top tier 1.6 player despides being in the scene for years. Probably will fall and the SK future is unknown. They could mantain the top 1 and prove that the manager role is not that important or fall some positions. For me G3X is better than Immortals and their players was always top level in 1.6 like the players from SK. Winout could do some damage too. And reminds that this lineup that won Dreamhack did not even pass the group stage at the last championship in Brazil.
