TWC EU qualifier format revealed

E-Frag have revealed the format and schedule of The World Championship's European qualifier, which consists of two qualifying rounds and the main qualifier, offering three spots at the finals in Belgrade.

The European qualifier for The World Championship will start with the first qualifying round, where 16 seeded teams meet 16 non-seeded teams in a best-of-three, two-round bracket.

Qualifying round one teams:

Lithuania	Slovenia	Czech Republic	Estonia
Italy	Switzerland	Georgia	Ireland
Non-seeded teams
Bulgaria	Croatia	Moldova	Macedonia
Luxembourg	Albania	Montenegro	Greece
Cyprus	Azerbaijan	Kyrgyzstan	Armenia
Uzbekistan	Israel	Malta	Austria

Top eight sides will then advance to the second qualifying round, where they'll meet eight other teams who earned their spots based on results in last year's World Championship.

A best-of-three series between a team from the first round and a team directly placed in the second round will decide who advances to the main stage of the European qualifier.

Qualifying round two seeded teams:

Iceland	Slovakia
Hungary	Kazakhstan
Spain	Portugal
Finland	Denmark

And finally, eight more teams have been placed directly into the main qualifier, four of whom received primary seeds due to placing top four in last year's finals, while the other half have secondary seeds.

They will be joined by the eight winners of QR2 in four GSL groups, with top two sides in each group making it into the best-of-three, single-elimination playoffs.

The main qualifier will have three spots on offer for the $100,000 World Championship 2016 Finals, taking place in Belgrade, Serbia, from October 5-9.

gob b = bad aimer, yup but he is pretty smart and has good tactics, and with krystal, keev, tabsen and spidii they had enough firepower to compensate gob b's missing aim, at least in my opinion

nation matches are always mixes, no deep tactics. they are mostly about aim and intuitive reactive play, both something gob b isn't really good at. germany should just make their individually best team. and i really hope to see keev in action this time.

alright, that's a good argument, maybe you're right. yeah at least keev and tabseN in one team would be pretty awesome to watch (tabsen did stand in for 2 attax games last week, so at least they played together A BIT) but i think it's unlikely. we will probably see a penta/mousesports mix or something like that
