LUq still in MYM, pionas in, kuben out

The Counter-Strike scene was in shock, when we last Friday reported that MYM would be parting ways with Lukas "LUq" Wnek – LUq is still a MYM member, kuben is not and pionas joins.

After it was announced that LUq had been removed from the team, the guessing about the replacement started. Rumors, local gossip and what now, spread across the eSports-scene. The official statement and announcement from MYM should come today at 18:00 CET, many waited in excitement. It has been announced that LUq will be not be removed after all, a decisions made by Taz, Neo and lord. Parting ways with the team will instead be Jakub kuben Gurczyński. He has been let off in the pursiot for a better team composition.

So who is the new guy in MYM? Filip pionas Pionka from Frag eXecutors, another well known Polish team, will be filling in the empty spot after the departure of kuben. The team states following about the recent changes:

"In our attempt to find the reasons behind our bad results, and lack of team spirit outside the game, we took a hasty decision and removed Lukas last Friday. We did so, because we wanted to be in time for DreamHack which is in less than 14 days.

After cooling down, we have thought the situation over once again, and we feel that Lukas can bring more to the table than Jakub can.
Jakub has been a core part of our lineup for more than two years, and he is a good friend to all of us. Unfortunately we feel that we have to exchange him to be able to develop in the future.

The old fans of us, know that we have always had problems and arguments when changing our roster. This time was not different.
To replace kuben we have taken in pionas, and we feel that he brings with him a thirst, commitment and a hunger that can motivate us even more.

We would like to address the accusations of this change being reasoned by company pressure; it can be said simple: it is OUR choice. We felt we had a problem, a problem that couldn't be solved with words alone. Actions speak louder than any word and we hope that we can already show you some of the NEW action at DreamHack in 12 days!"

Lastly, We would like to thank kuben for all this time with us, for his dedication and effort he put in the team. He was a great player and good friend, we wish him all the best in his new way of life.

The person to leave MYM in the first place, Lukas "LUq" Wnek also had a few things to say:

"It might be hard to understand what’s going on inside the team, however it was pretty normal for me. We had a lot of arguing and problems in those past 8 years of playing, but there's one thing that made us stick together - it's CS. And I have no bad feelings towards the team at all. It's time to look forward and we will work very hard to get back on top. I would like to thank all who supported me at this time - it meant a lot for me and made me stronger for sure."

With the current changes, MYM now consist of:

The official debut for pionas will tomorrow in the Extreme Masters III versus hoorai.XQ. The first LAN tournament with the new guy, will be DreamHack just next week.

yes maybe kuben is weakest player and even its not controversial, but I think these happens destroyed relationships in team.Why do NEO-LOORD and TAZ have decisions about team? new blood matters more than fucking indivudal skill. top 10-20 teams have pretty similar skill lvl,just the lvl of teamplay and training is diffrent and the mental aspect aswell i guess. look at zet,noone was saying he is better than spawn if he isnt a fanboy atleast and yet adding him kinda gave sk new momentum again,thats whats MYM is looking kinda despratly and guys ,change isnt bad,it can help break the routine what they have had like since 1,5 or w.e lol..

As I said, in the other topic about LUqs' part,it's their stupidest decision made in their history of gaming because you already might have the 5 best players in the world and you can't resolve the problems by kicking out the weakest player at the moment because as he was a few months one of the best in the world, he could be again in short time one of the best... maybe the problems would have been resolved if they had given more moral support to the weakest player to motivate him better so he can regain his selftrust.. I can see there's no brain, no offence but that's not the way how you could resovle those problems, only my opinion... Btw best of luck for pionas, I hope he will do more than Kuben did, but I`m still sad that he left the team without a fair reason... WE'LL MISS YOU KUBEN!

Can't you understand that it isn't fault of MYM organisation but players? They have arguing and have to do some changes. LUq is a strong person with character and I think it was argue beetwen LUq and kuben. Luq might said that or he will stay or kuben and after argue left... Rest of the team realized that without him they couldn't do progress and turn him back kicking kuben. In fact look at some demos from MYM matches when they were loosing. Kuben have good skills (not even try to take it under cosideration that he's bad aimer) but not only aim is important in this game. Kuben play often very stupidly and this was the main reason why they were losing matches. If you want to tell me I'm wrong, watch few demos before. About Pionas... I can tell that he's young and good, skilled player. It is a chance of a livetime for him to achieve something big in CS so he will do everything to be better and win with world's top teams. I can't understand you guys, when LuQ lieves, lieve someone else, when Kuben lieves lieve someone else... MyM needs change, because something isnt good with the team, sometimes they can be first, but the performance isnt clear.And about Pionas. He isn't an unnamed someone, He was a member of Frag Executors an other top clan in Poland (I think so they were on a big LAN, maybe on ESWC G.F.) So he cant be bad either.He got a chance to play in MYM so he wants to proof it was a right choice, that can be a good motivation for the others too.He can bring other viewpoints, other ideas for MYM, so this change can be almost just useful

Guys its sure that Pionas is not better then Kuben AT THE MOMENT. But after some hard training, soon bootcamp in Denmark he can do very well. Team'll get motivatet too, coz of some fresh blood. There must good be reason they picked him. Maybe You all dont know but mYm manager Twaizz compared Pionas to Sunde. Maybe just like Sunde, Pionas is late discovered talent that ll shine soon :) Give em 3-4 months and we will see if that was good decision. And dont expect too much right now.
