SL i-League StarSeries Season 2 Americas qualifier's finalists, OpTic and Immortals, will skip the $300,000 event. Cloud9 and FlipSid3 will take their place in Kiev from September 7-11, while FaZe have been announced as SK's replacement.

In early August, SK revealed Fernando "⁠fer⁠" Alvarenga wouldn't be able to play for the team for the following two months due to health issues and went on to confirm dropping out from the Season 2 Finals of StarSeries as a result.

Their replacement was chosen to be FaZe, who recently acquired the services of former ENCE sniper Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli.

It has come to light that both North American finalists, OpTic and Immortals, will also skip the $300,000 event, as the former are moving to their new gaming house while the latter dropped out due to the event clashing with ELEAGUE Season 2's open qualifiers.


allu's offline debut with FaZe will come earlier than expected

For replacements StarLadder have reached out to Cloud9 and Renegades as the next in line, being the semi-finalists of the Americas qualifier. The Australians have however declined because of the ECS Season 2 Development league, set to start on September 9.

FlipSid3 received an invitation instead and the Ukraine-based team will be travelling to Kiev for the event running from September 7-11.

With the announced changes, the full team list for SL i-League StarSeries Season 2 Finals is following:
