F3 to playoffs over FaZe in Kiev

The second match of the day started out on Train with FaZe on the T-side. Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli's opening kill with a Tec-9 allowed FaZe to take the pistol round. Although Håvard "⁠rain⁠" Nygaard's team lost the fourth round they answered in the following one with a 2vs2 win, making the score 4-1.

FaZe's seven round streak ended when Yegor "⁠markeloff⁠" Markelov showed up with the AWP but FlipSid3 trailed 4-11 at halftime despite being on the favored CT-side.

Oleksandr "⁠Shara⁠" Hordieyev's double kill and bomb plant in the second half pistol round did not suffice and FaZe went on to win the map in a dominating fashion with a 16-5 score.

FlipSid3 were the ones who started on the T-side on Nuke and they grabbed the pistol round without losing a player. The tables turned when FaZe's weapon round came about as Joakim "⁠jkaem⁠" Myrbostad secured his team's first round with a quad-kill (3-1).

Fabien "⁠kioShiMa⁠" Fiey and rain clutched a 2vs2 to put their team ahead and jkaem's triple kill extended their lead to 5-3. jkaem's monstrous performance continued throughout the first half which FaZe won 11-4.

The story in the second half was different as FlipSid3 took advantage of the CT-side, winning the first seven rounds of the half and forcing FaZe to call for a timeout. FlipSid3, unfazed, closed out the map 16-12.

After the T-sided FlipSid3 took the first five rounds on Cache, FaZe answered back with four of their own but FlipSid3 finished the half 9-6 ahead.

The Ukrainian team won the pistol and followed it up with the second round, making it 11-6. FaZe won their early weapon round but their streak ended at two rounds as FlipSid3 made it 12-8.

Andrey "⁠B1ad3⁠" Gorodenskiy clutched a critical 1vs1 and got a quad kill to make the score 14-12 and FlipSid3 finished off the map 16-14, and the series 2-1, advancing to the quarter-finals where they will face Cloud9.
