Turkey replace Australia at TWC

As the Australian lineup failed to provide their World Championship lineup before the deadline, Turkey will travel to the $100,000 event running from October 6-9, E-Frag.net have announced.

This marks the second time a nation had to be replaced due to failing to provide a lineup for the Belgrade event, as Canada replaced USA earlier this month following the same circumstances.

According to E-Frag's announcement, Australia had over two months to register a lineup but couldn't do so due to "internal issues".

Turkey will travel to Belgrade in early October instead of Australia

Other quarter-finalists, namely Finland and Poland, have supposedly been asked prior to Turkey, but both ended up declining the invitation as the players have responsibilities with their primary teams.

The updated nations list for TWC 2016 is following:

Brazil,Poland,Germany,Russia or even Ukraine did not put best lineups because people dont care about this shitty event. Well, the Europe has best nations on LAN finals. Poland might be there, but overall, France, Dennmark and Sweden are top. Now, it depends what lineups are they going to send. Rest isnt organizers fault. Like i said, they should consider punishing nations for this kind of behavior. China, USA and Australia had 2 months to make lineups and they failed. That it is really shitty way to treat organization that is making this possible.

No, it's really not a good idea. CS:GO as a whole is waaaaay too small for that right now. Take Football for instance, every country has hundreds of teams playing on all kinds of different levels, all under a unified banner of that country and an organization (For The Netherlands that would be the KNVB). Everybody is registered, and there are hundreds of players of all ages readily available. Now look at CS:GO as a whole, the only mentionable and payed teams are those owned by independent organizations (I.e NiP, SK, FaZe, all brand names) Sure the teams have a cute country flag, but look at SK for instance, they kicked an entire Danish (?) lineup, and swapped it with a Brazilian one. All in all, countries are the foremost representations of the players in Soccer, Team Names are the foremost representation in E-sports. The rest are casual players with a lot of skill that play CS:GO for fun and in their free time. tl;dr CS:GO isn't big enough to support 'World Championships'due to a lack of dedicated players.

You have a really good point, i must say. But we should agree to disagree, becouse i think that it is good idea, even though everything you said its correct. This tournament would probably be better in European championship form, but im glad that e.g. Tunisian or Argetinian players get chance to play at big stage and earn some money.. and now when i got to that, i think that there should be more small budget tournaments for tier 2/3/4 teams, becouse that would affect CS:GO community really well.

I dont really agree with you, but at first im gonna add that i dont know much about football. But i do watch world cup sometimes, and usually there are the same guys playing for the national team till they retire with some small changes every game. And it would be the same for csgo if some organization with decent money would be behind it. Theyr not using theyr hundreds - but the best because they want to win the money. And for shitfootball countries its the best and maybe only opportunity to play against world top players. Its followed by logic, but i would think theres a lot more money in world cups in football(At least advertisement for sure brings in a lot more) - than in clubs - But all top10 clubs should be able to win any countries best possible lineup. So with real money worldcup for csgo would be the same. With Real money the players, clubs, "brands", coaches, analytics - most from that country would do what it takes to win the tournament. So next year - 3 mill prizepool pleas. And in the end - its should be illegal to make world cup without money - Cause its just charity and patriotic act for the best players. Do any sport have a worse world cup !?
