VP go 1-0 over fnatic at ESL One NY

Virtus.pro and fnatic kicked off ESL One New York in their best-of-one group stage match on Cobblestone where the Polish team started on the CT-side.

The Poles stopped fnatic with ease in the pistol round and went on to win the anti-ecos without suffering much damage. fnatic managed to get themselves in a 2vs2 situation in the first weapon round but Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski prevailed and won his team their fourth round.

After the Swedish team lost another round they responded with five of their own, losing no more than two players in each round (5-5). The lopsided rounds kept coming as Virtus.pro went on a five-round streak to win the half 10-5 despite being on the slightly less favored CT-side.

The Polish team won the pistol and first weapon rounds in the second half as well, making the score 14-5. They closed out the match 16-6 and won their first match in New York.
