The Norwegian lineup know as deadweight, that includes the ex-LGB player zEVES, created a player-owned organization called Norse.

Norse players follow in the footsteps of the likes of those of Astralis, GODSENT and HEROIC in creating an organization of which they themselves are a part of - even though they disclosed that the project would not be possible without the financial backing of their investor.

deadweight's best recent result has been getting to the ELEAGUE European Closed qualifier, where they were eliminated 2-0 by GODSENT. In WESG Norway they ended top four, after losing 2-1 to Epiphany Bolt in the semifinal.

zEVES was a part of the Norwegian LGB lineup

In the article on gamer.no, Morten "⁠zEVES⁠" Vollan Christensen also revealed that this change will allow them to focus more on the game as they will be getting a salary and support for events.

As stated by the 25-year-old, the main goal of the team is to be able to compete with the top 20 in the world before the end of the year.

With this in mind, the team will be attending a few regional events and will have a boot camp at Inferno Online before the minor qualifiers start in December.

- you have to waste ton of time talking to to potential sponsors, negotiating contracts, making your brand (you have less time to actually play) - you have much less to offer than existing brands with team in multiple games (you are gonna get much less from a sponsor) - you have the worst position when negotiating (0 team history, 0 experience with player owned org, 0 achievements)

You pay someone to organize this in your behalf as a employer employs his employees to do work the employer would have to do themselves otherwise? How is this different from a organization paying it's players for playing a game in their name? In this case, the organization is owned by the players and they concentrate on playing whilst someone they've chosen to act on their behalf is doing exactly so.

They'll be tier 3 so they only need tier 3 caliber sponsors. The investor will bank the initial costs so after that their expenses shouldn't even be high since I don't see them going into international lans.

cromen and ztk has potential, but is it enough when you have washed up centryz and overrated igl zeves on the team.

For people saying they won't get enough support because they are t3 etc: They have an unknown rich investor backing them, so they will be able to pay for all travels and bootcamps etc themselves. Becker quit his job to play. No norwegian orgs have the opportunities that this team will now get. Huge news for norwegian csgo.

This team got a lot of potential actually. Cromen is probably one of, if not the biggest talent out there atm and the other guys (especially ztk) have shown good potential. I think this team will be kinda like the old norwegian LGB lineup where rain and later jkaem got picked up. Hopefully zeves can fix their CT-sides and improve his fragging and I would expect them to become a tier 2 team by the end of the year. Great initiative for the norwegian CS-scene, it's exactly what was needed.
