mousesports have removed Czech player Tomáš 'oskar' Šťastný from their starting lineup due to personal issues and will be fielding former player Johannes 'nex' Maget as a stand-in.

News has emerged that 25-year-old Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný, who officially joined mousesports in late August, will no longer be part of the German-Dutch-Bosnian team's starting lineup.

A Tweet from team captain Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač reveals that "personal issues" have inhibited the player and that they will return to using former teammate Johannes "⁠nex⁠" Maget in the meantime as a stand-in for ESL Pro League matches.

mousesports' recent activity includes a bootcamp in Cologne (which included oskar) and attending the $100,000 Gfinity CS:GO Invitational, where they defeated GODSENT in the semifinals and fell 0-3 to Envy in the grand final.

mousesports also currently hold a steadfast 10-6 record in the ESL Pro League, with two incoming matches tonight against Virtus.pro.

A statement from mousesports' press director Jan Dominicus, which was given to theScore esports, more directly suggests that it was the organisation which benched the player rather than being a personal decision to step down:

"We will bench oskar for our Pro League match today vs. [Virtus.pro] and probably for the remainder of the season, due to private matters for oskar who can't focus on the game at the moment...The team had a great start to the season with oskar and he will be missed, but we totally understand and wish him all the best and hope he can get back to playing CS:GO soon," Dominicus said.
