TWC 2016 heads into playoffs

With the second day of The World Championships 2016 behind us, we bring you the recap of the day as well as the schedule for tomorrow's bracket play.

Day two started with Denmark and Canada cruising to 16-7 wins over Singapore and Argentina respectively. The Danes went on to redeem themselves for the underwhelming day one with a couple of more wins - over Tunisia and Canada.

Denmark managed a seed-wise important 16-13 win over Canada

Turkey, as well as Sweden, continued their strong form and claimed top four spots that ensure an easier bracket draw for the single elimination playoffs.

On the lower part of the standings, Tunisia didn't manage a win and ended the group stage last - but put up a strong fight against France just to lose 14-16 in the end.

This is the final standing of the group stage of The World Championships 2016:

Denmark, France and Canada have ended up in a three-way tie, with the Danes taking the the number three seed due to the best head-to-head results. France follow them in fourth due to a 16-13 win versus Canada - even though they have a lower round difference.

This standing means that we will have the following schedule in the bracket play at the Kombank Arena tomorrow:

13:00	France	vs. Canada	BO3
16:00	Denmark	vs. Singapore	BO3

I think they knew about that before they scheduled the date of the tournament, and could just change it

Not sure that they knew that, because i think that dates for TWC were up before dates for WESG.. but its only a thought, so that might not be true. Even if they found out like month or two ago, Kombank arena is expensive and it would be impossible to change reservation without making another expenses. Maybe even impossible to rescheldue.

Probably is that so. But the qualification was with the best player who play this game, and ended up in with tier 10 of the most of the country. I stand that it would be more funny to watch the finals like it was in the quali.

Ofc, there is no doubt about that. It is really sad that e.g. Sweden played with dennis, flusha, Get_Right.. Dennmark played with Kjaerbye, Dupreeh.. France with NBK, Happy, Shox, Body.. and now, we dont get to watch any of them. Also its really bad that China, Australia and USA couldnt be able to make their teams, or that Brasil didnt play quals with their best team.. If best nations played with their best players, this could be great tournament.. so it is really sad that it ends up like this.

Yeah, noone is watching this right now because of the low status of the tournament. This, country vs country will turn into nothing if they dont change the days of it, and want to succeed with the question, what country is the best of cs?
