Na`Vi and dignitas go 1-1

Natus Vincere and dignitas share the spoils at EPICENTER: Moscow after tying their BO2 match 1-1 (6-16 on Mirage and 16-9 on Nuke).

Group A started with a series between Natus Vincere and Dignitas - and the CIS side interestingly deciding to veto Cache and Cobblestone, leaving Nuke to be picked by the Danish team.

The series started with Natus Vincere's pick - Mirage, but it wasn't going well for the champions of ESL One New York that were struggling on the Terrorist side.

Dignitas built a strong lead early on, making it 7-2 before René "cajunb" Borg showed up with two crucial 1v1 clutches to help his team get to a massive 12-3 lead.

cajunb's clutches allowed dignitas to build a big lead on Mirage

Their Terrorist B-rush pistol round wasn't successful, allowing Natus Vincere to put together a couple of rounds, but Emil "Magisk" Reif clutched the third round-buy to get his team back into the driving seat.

15-6 up, Mathias "MSL" Lauridsen's team showed a lot of composure and good usage of utility to close out the anti force-buy round, and the map, as soon as possible.

Despite losing the pistol and the following two rounds, Natus Vincere had a solid start on the Terrorist side of Nuke, working the outside part of the map and successfully finding picks.

After losing the first half 9-6, the Danes were on the brink of equalizing the score on the back of another pistol round win, but their A site rush was stopped by a couple of pistol-wielding Natus Vincere players.

It was 13-8 before MSL's team could buy again, however, that didn't help them assert their dominance on the map, especially against Ladislav "GuardiaN" Kovács who was winning all the duels in yard.

The match ended 16-9 for the CIS side, tying the best-of-two at 1-1.

i was thinking the exact same thing, but i wish they had a better support, because rubino plays better when he is the heavy hitter. with k0nfig and magisk there is not much room left for him.

Sad thing is that there is no better IGL left in Denmark. karrigan is wasted, gla1ve doesn't call even in Heroic.

i can repeat my question - why the F do you think that C9 have a mediocre IGL? MSL is a good IGL, dignitas play like a team and execute like a team (not like FaZe), Snappi doesn't do a work of the same usefulness in Heroic, gla1ve doesn't call at all meaning that even Snappi knows it better how to call, FeTiSh was kicked for sucking cock as an IGL, karrigan is wasted. But you went far and said that dignitas need no IGL at all. Why do I even argue with that shit?

Anyone can be IGL. What do you mean? N0thing was for C9 and he sucked ass but there they needed more fire-power that now they have. They had stewie that is a mediocre IGL but now they win. How come? Because for winning and being more cosistent you need more fire than MSL can provide.

given how the game developed i think both teams should be happy with a 1-1. dignitas performed surprisingly well on mirage and surprisingly bad on nuke. nothing lost, nothing learnt.

Skillwise, sure. Not sure about tactically. MSL is a pretty decent IGL from the look of things. Manages his players pretty well which is very important.

Why not stop yourself from commenting? Dignitas are kinda on the best strive they've ever been, why would they change that? You don't change something that is working because people on HLTV wants all 5 players on every team to shoot one billion people every round ...

Dignitas are looking really strong these days. Very nice of them to trade against Na'Vi on LAN. Hope they keep this performance up, but MSL cannot keep being on Slemmy mode.

All these people hating on MSL... He is in game leader. His primary role is to talk and make calls, not to frag. If he frags, that makes it better but it shouldn't be expected of him. If volvo hadn't made it so that coaches can't be IGL i would say make msl igl-coach and bring in another fragger. But they did so they are stuck with msl now.
