Silver retires from Counter-Strike

Today the German Counter-Strike scene witnesses a retirement of a well know face Tim ”silver” Hochgrebe.

Tim ”mason” Klee the team captain of Competo released the news at the Intel Friday night game yesterday. The lineup will undergo changes as Silver will not be a member of the team any more. Silver made his big breakthrough in 2006 while shocking many with his former team Alternate Attax. Silver did not mention his future plans.

The team Competo will have the following roster for now:

Tim "mason" Kleemann
Markus "crash" Esser
Christian "ChRRRRp" Porten
Alexander "XaVe" Ackenhausen
Matthias "teAk" Czaja (substitute)

donot u remember old attax? they were playing so great sometimes u need to have really good team8s as it happened then.

He played for Attax a two years ago before they split and half of them went to mousesports. They amongst other things finsished second at CPL summer 06 as far as I can remember.

CHEF-KOCH and silver are gone this season , who will be next? shame. hope that Competo will create a better lineup next season , without a 6th player. Madferret is missing tbh.. hope he will return this season.

Yeah too bad for German CS scene. He was a great player but unfortunately he didn't find the right team.

Didnt see that one coming...but when I think about it he hasnt played on the top-notch level the last year and it's probably because he lost the motivation it takes to be the best. It's a shame tho, considering how good he was in aTTaX when playing with Tixo, CHEF-KOCH, mooN, paN in 2006.
