Liquid lost their second match in Sao Paulo as mousesports picked up Mirage, 16-12, in the European team’s opening match.

The first round of the match went the way of MOUZ, as Christian "⁠loWel⁠" Garcia Antoran made good use of his glock with three kills to get the European side ahead. After winning the de rigueur anti-ecos, MOUZ kept the momentum on their side by winning the first gun round of the map.

It was finally on the sixth round when Liquid were able to put their first tally on the board by stopping a split A push by the terrorists. The American team would quickly find themselves against the ropes, however, as Timo "⁠Spiidi⁠" Richter and loWel getting two kills each in the following round reset Liquid’s economy.

MOUZ found themselves easily dominating the match at the half, with a hefty 12-3 lead, partly thanks to loWel’s antics which got him a staggering 22 kills and 5 deaths in the first 15 rounds.

A solid CT pistol round kept the American side in contention, getting themselves up to six rounds before the first buy round of the half. Slowly but surely it seemed as though Liquid were getting into their own, as they won six straight rounds.

It was finally a 1vs2 heroic by loWel defending the A site that got the European side back on track, as MOUZ then got a second round, 14 in total. Liquid didn’t give up, though, as the American side clawed back with two rounds of their own and thus not allowing the CT side to establish a healthy economy. Finally, however, MOUZ were able to shut Liquid down and take the remaining rounds for their first tournament victory.

Faze and g2 were group stage matches, no bo3. Astralis was the only bo3 as was quarterfinal match. Those matches aren't relevant anymore. Happened over 3 months ago with a different roster.

musamban1 is pretty bad these days, also, seems like Kairi won't play with him. FlipiN is about to retire tbh, he is only competing in national tournaments and streaming, he isn't that good enough anymore. Mixwell, lowel, kairi, soker, +1 is our only hope rn. But not happening, not many chances in Spain and lowel//mixwell are getting paid well enough to stay in mouz and optic. So RiP.
