Cloud9 beat FaZe in Brazil

Cloud9 and FaZe played in Sao Paulo after a heated best-of-three in Atlanta last week. This time, Jordan “n0thing” Gilbert and company came out on top on Dust2 by the slimmest of margins, 16 – 14.

The North American side got off to a flying start by winning the pistol and the following two rounds. A skirmish in B halls with two Cloud9 players pushing towards the terrorists ended up with FaZe getting the upper hand in the trading and their first round of the map on the board, which they then followed up with another win before losing to a Cloud9 eco.

The match played out in a back-and-forth manner, with teams trading rounds until FaZe were able to pull ahead late in the half to win it 6 – 9 as terrorists. The Nordic team were then able to take the second pistol round by defusing after Cloud9’s plant on A, giving them the chance at establishing a solid lead in the second half.

Cloud9 took revenge on FaZe in Sao Paulo

Cloud9 only gave up one round after the pistol, however, as the Americans were able to win their first buy round to keep the game close, and forcing FaZe into an eco round. A team effort by Cloud9 allowed them to get the lead, 12 – 11, by winning seven rounds in a row. FaZe then tied it back up despite an exceptional push out of B window by Jake "Stewie2K" Yip, garnering him two kills in the afterplant situation, as Finn "karrigan" Andersen was able to win a 1vs1 situation against Tyler "Skadoodle" Latham.

Cloud9 won the following round, however, resetting FaZe’s economy and setting themselves up only two rounds away from winning the map. After FaZe tightened up and tied the match up 14 – 14, Cloud9 were able to get the match point with a fast A push which overwhelmed the CT side. A force buy from FaZe wasn’t enough in the last round, and the North American team took it by the split of a hair.

Look at theese shitty stats from Rain, he is to blame. Karrigans stats are explained by the fact that he is IGL.

This game ALONG with many others proves why Astralis made the right call when they kicked Karrigan. The guy is trash tier in terms of fragging.

I think this often is forgotten. If you are shroud and entry/support behind Stew who is on fire there not a lot of kills to get. As soon as Stew struggles tho, shroud is nowhere to be found usually.

Fact is that he is the weakest player of FaZe. Jkaem got exit frags mostly. Also he fucked b site so many times without getting any kills. He saved 1 round with mac but lost like 5.
