Secret win ESWC 2016 Female

Team Secret added another trophy to their locker, winning the most prestigious female CS event of the year - ESWC 2016. In the final, they defeated Selfless 2-1 (Mirage 16-9, Overpass 7-16, Train 16-6) to take the title and the $7,000 prize.

Since the inception of the team under the Secret fe name, the European squad has been victorious at both female tournaments they attended: Copenhagen Games 2016 in March and the StarLadder Female Stars Championship in June.

With the most notable North American female team and ESWC 2015 winner CLG Red dropping out in the RO6, it was up to their regional rivals Selfless fe to try to stop the recent EU dominance.

zAAz ended the tournament with a 1.42 rating

In the best-of-three grand finals, Carolyn "artStar" Noquez had a good performance on Overpass to help her team get a comfortable map win, but, thanks to strong play from Michaela "mimi" Lintrup and Zainab "zAAz" Turkie, Secret fe cruised to wins on Mirage and Train to secure their third title of the year.

One post about it and very late, and there were no proper streams. Id really like to see this changed. I know this weekend was extreme with sao paolo and paris male tourney and that female cs is another level, but an international tournament with 15k on the line deserves proper coverage, period (pun not intended). Ill write to eswc next year wether they would like an experienced english speaking caster on site.

I love how some members of this community claim theirselves mentally superior than others, but have to hit up on others just because he was born somewhere to reassure themselves of it. Either that or bad bait.

Not too sure. No pro lives off of tournament winnings alone, so I don't think women are an exception to that. They probably get some sort of wage from their organization. Might not be a whole bunch, though. They represent team secret and as such spread the word about team secret, which in turn will make sponsors pay more to have their name on team secret's jerseys. A team can be profitable even without winning. Then again, some of them (zaaz, juliano, maybe mimi) live in countries where their tax returns are in the public domain, so you could just check.

ok let me give you an idea, girl prizes not only depends on theyr level or skills its also mainly about popularity and how meny people would watch the streams. So if they do something extra like the loosers or winners team have to show boobs after the match, the popularity and at the same time prizes for girls will reach maybe almost mans level haha :D edit : after few tournaments you would know most boobs so it will get boring so i dont see any chances xD
