TheMongolz win ROG Masters Asia

TheMongolz have won ROG Masters Asia 2016, taking down dream[S]cape 3-0 (16-4 on Cache, 16-12 on Mirage, and 16-13 on Cobblestone) and pocketing $23,750 as a result.

In a weekend packed with CS:GO events, including another one in the Asia region which featured another slice of the region's talent, twelve teams descended on Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia for the $50,000 ROG Masters Asia 2016 event.

Following the group stages, two Singaporean teams in dream[S]cape and Leapfrog, the Emirati-Indian Risky team, and The MongolZ reached the semifinals, with Anthony "ImpressioN" Lim's dream[S]cape advancing 2-0 over Risky and The MongolZ bringing down Leapfrog 2-0.

TheMongolz win their second event of the year (after IEM Taipei)

The grand final was thus between both third-fourth place finishers of the fairly recent eXTREMESLAND Asia Finals 2016 in a best-of-five format. Temuulen "Zilkenberg" Battulga's team wasted no time claiming their map pick of Cache 16-4, continuing their fairly solid streak on that map.

Benedict "Benkai" Tan & his fellow Singaporeans of dream[S]cape gave a better account of themselves on their map pick of Mirage, however a stronger Mongolz T-side ultimately gave the map to the Mongolians 16-12. The third map of Cobblestone also went down to the wire but Tsog "Tsogoo" Mashbat & co. took the map 16-13 and won the grand final with a 3-0 map score.
