Muffin Lightning replace EF at Minor

ELEAGUE has announced that Echo Fox has withdrawn from the Americas Minor and that they will be replaced by Muffin Lightning.

Following Echo Fox's statement regarding their roster, which revealed that the organization has allowed it's players to look for new opportunities, the team has also officially withdrawn from the upcoming ELEAGUE Americas Minor.

SileNt3M's Muffin Lightning will be replacing the dissolved Echo Fox

To replace Echo Fox the North American team Muffin Lightning—featuring players such as Samuel "⁠SileNt⁠" Portillo and Joshua "⁠sancz⁠" Ballenger—has been invited, as they were "the next highest ranking team in the closed online qualifier stage", per ELEAGUE's announcement.

With this news, the following four teams will be competing for the two ELEAGUE Major Qualifier spots:

Cloud9

Immortals

TSM

Muffin Lightning

The Americas Minor will take place in the ELEAGUE studios from December 15-18.

well they got no sponsors. the name has been around for a while tho. almost got on invite couple of seasons ago when the game was developing. all the other teams and players they were competing against back then all made pro etc.

strebor kinda quit cs. toy is meh. davey didnt even play with them that much he went back to splyce after a couple of matches. first season of pro league esea took some of the top teams from premier and decided to take method lineup from main. so they were kinda lucky. justin9n is solid agreed. mainline has sick aim can igl instead of arki but smells like hot dog.

I hope you realize that this is just to get to the qualifier to qualify for the major. Top 2 from this doesn't GO to the Major itself. If they advance through here it will be a miracle, and they will have no chance at the actual qualifier. At the moment, even C9 will struggle to make it.

Splyce had to beat CLG and Vexed. Muffin Lightning will have to beat the likes of NIP, FaZe, Cloud9, EnvyUs, Dignitas, and more to qualify for the major. IF they even get that far, C9 TSM and Immortals are all better teams than ML.

Well yes,I mean perhaps I should explain myself a little bit better. I wont beat C9 fine. Immortals=team which can consistantly dissapoint you in matches and they collapse under high pressure badly. Complexity?Nothing to explain,look at their match history. Muffings=team with small ammount of expiriance,they choked in two maps against echo fox. Now,if I can go to european matchmaking,if I get 4 teammates which are not premades and which are around 19,20+ years old,and are not from specific country which I wont say while I do not mean on Russia,I can have an easy win against anyone.

Maybe,but how can someone explain consistant bad performance of most NA teams? "PRO" of NA,eunited 2-24 splyce 3-23 selfless 7-19 and complexity 9-17. Yes indeed EU scene had similar results of their lowest teams in pro scene aswell,but even there you know the reason why which team had loses,something what you dont know about NA. You want a good example of na bots?Look at the matches against SK,shitload of teams had huge advantage over them,7-0 6-1 with reset 8-2 and similar,and they end up losing the map...

I'm not going to deny that they need to stay calm while they're losing and that they need to have very good mental shape,thats true. But when it comes aim vs tactics im taking aim any time. I mean good example of team which is losing because they do not have skilled players is flipside.

Tactics are important,but not as important as aim.I mean,look at the Blade for example,he's good in game leader,aswell as he got good tactics,you can say same for Pronax who did discover shitload of things.But for what can they use these tactics when they cant win a single 1v1?

To be honest each individual on Echo Fox was under-performing compared to the potential they had shown in the teams they played for previously. Expected from Rick Fox TBH the man is not a loser so why would he pay good money to a losing team. He has so much influence in the marketplace yet Echo Fox cant even win a single event to get the big money sponsors they needed. In before m0e gets fired too.
