SK cruise past NiP, both to playoffs

SK beat NiP (16-9 on Cobblestone) and Cloud9 defeated Heroic (16-12 on Mirage) to help the Brazilians secure a playoff spot. In the last match of the group, FaZe kept a clean record by defeating mousesports (16-7 on Train).

Marcelo "coldzera" David started the last match of the group stage with a 1v2  clutch in the first gun round to make it 4-0 for SK, but Ninjas in Pyjamas managed to get on the board in the following round, starting a three-round winning streak.

After a small hiccup, SK took control of the match on Cobblestone with Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo being instrumental for his team—shutting down Ninjas in Pyjamas's repeated A site offensives with his faithful sniper rifle.

FalleN upped his game in the crucial group stage match

SK finished the half 11-4, won the pistol and cleaned up the following to round to make it 14-4 before Ninjas in Pyjamas got to their first buy. That round went the way of the Brazilians as well, allowing them to close out the match without much delay, making it 16-9 in the end.

HEROIC struggled to deal with Cloud9 force buys from the CT side of Mirage, as they were caught off guard twice in the first seven round. Due to that, the Danes struggled to gain momentum or economy early on in the map, even though their gun rounds were looking solid.

With the score tied at 5-5, Valdemar "valde" Bjørn Vangså stepped up and got three kills from the ticket booth, crushing the A site offensive from Cloud9.

The half ended positively for HEROIC, as they were up 9-6, but they couldn't do much as TerroristsCloud9 shut down their advances in middle and picked up 10 CT rounds to win the match 16-12.

mouz clearly showed us they really in need of true ingame leader even they were doing much better than this when they had gob b in roster. Yesterday NaVi today mouz proved how important was true ingame leaders.Looks like trying out aiming opponents let you get outsmarted. FaZe absolutely shining today, if they go to final i won't be surprised at the moment, it will be hilarious to see Astralis vs FaZe on final. Sad to see C9 and Heroic eliminated, it would be fun to watch if Heroic won and we could get 3 way tiebreaker but seems its not happening till next event :p Good luck SK and NiP on playoffs.

HLTV has push notifications for posts. He has a script that listens to those notifications (could be for example written as a browser extension) and immediately places a post he had prepared before hand. As big tournament is going on he can predict that next post will be about those Oakland games. 1. Minute or two before games end he writes comment in his script, plugin, app, whatever. 2. Script is notified by HLTV about new post being posted. It finds comment form and pastes message the guy written earlier. 3. Edits if needed. Pretty simple automation really. He wouldn't have been able to do it every time if HLTV disabled push notifications on news posts.

You should use copy pasta first comment to spread your propaganda to influence HLTV opinion the most. Like I once did.

If heroic had won vs C9 their record would have been 3-2, the same as SK, but since heroic beat sk they would have gone to the playoffs.

We'd actually have extra games. Because SK, NiP and Heroic would have the same record and Sk beat NiP, Nip beat Heroic and they beat SK. Heroic wouldn't have advanced into playoffs directly

FaZe looks like a team of 1 tournament, like Cloud9 @ ESLPLS4, but FaZe won't win this tournament, that's for sure. It's time for mousesports to keep some upcoming German talents like keev, because Spiidi and denis aren't any special sadly.

nip will never be top1 again. maybe top3 if they win some events. its like, the top teams are more or less consistent and every time nip could enter top3 status some other team (faze in this case) steppes up their game. poor nip
