Gambit edge GODSENT; to DHW final

Starting as Terrorists on Cobblestone, Gambit took off to a 3-0 lead after a slow pistol round. They then attempted a few A attacks which were defended by GODSENT, but they finally broke through in the seventh round for 4-3.

With Danylo "⁠Zeus⁠" Teslenko and Abay "⁠HObbit⁠" Khassenov winning a 2v5 situation, Gambit started running away with the half. Only two of the remaining seven rounds went the Swedes' way as the CIS-based squad switched to CT's at 10-5.

Topping it off with a second pistol round win, Gambit were in prime position to win their pick, which they did after Rustem "⁠mou⁠" Telepov got seven kills with the AWP over the last three rounds for 16-5.

Jonas "⁠Lekr0⁠" Olofsson opened up Train with a triple in the pistol round for a 3-0 lead as Counter-Terrorists. The first gunround went the other way, but GODSENT quickly took over the half with a great retake on B, when Andreas "⁠znajder⁠" Lindberg got a triple in a disadvantageous situation.

Two more retakes towards the B bombsite afterwards, the Swedes were leading 10-1 before fantastic play from Lekr0 in a 1v3 and a 2v4 closed out the half at 12-3 in their favor.

Gambit got off to the better start on the second half, winning the pistol and the first gunround on the back of mou's double. GODSENT then opted for a few A executes, three of which worked out as they forced map three, Overpass, at 16-8.

On Overpass, GODSENT got the first pistol as CT and went on to grab a 2-0 lead before Gambit made it even. After the Swedish side picked up three rounds in a row, Mihail "⁠Dosia⁠" Stolyarov and Zeus stepped up to the plate in the next two, closing the gap to 5-4.

However, from there on the side was very much in the hands of GODSENT, who only lost an anti-eco along the way before Lekr0 closed it out at 10-5 with a 1v2 clutch.

znajder's triple kill in the pistol pushed his team closer to the grand final, but there was still life left in Gambit, who began mounting a comeback with several comfortable rounds. mou then picked up the pace as well getting six kills over two gunrounds to take their first lead at 14-13. Zeus's squad then survived a couple of close rounds to complete the comeback at 16-13.
