dignitas talent Emil "Magiskb0Y" Reif will sit out the ECS Season 2 finals due to personal matters, the player has revealed.

On Twitter, Emil "⁠Magisk⁠" Reif revealed that school exam commitments will prevent him from attending the event, which will run from December 9-11 in Anaheim, California.

dignitas qualified for the ECS Finals after finishing fourth in the European division due to having the best overall round difference of the six teams who finished level on points in the table.

Magiskb0Y will miss the ECS finals

The Danish team, who recently lost to SK Gaming in the ELEAGUE quarter-finals, have yet to announce who will be filling in for Magisk at the event, where $750,000 will be on offer.

dignitas have the following quartet available for the ECS finals:

depends what exam it is, if it's the final exam then he obviously can't rearrange it, if it's just a small test then he should rearrange it. don't know how to compare it to anything in the UK apart from GCSE and A-level exams which you can't just rearrange for a game of course

All the reason not to skip the finals and be done with it after some time. After you have your degree you can still decide to play counter strike full time but now you have a fallback option with your degree. And some exams/papers cannot be rescheduled.
