TyLoo over VG to DH Las Vegas

TyLoo become the first team to qualify for DreamHack Masters Las Vegas 2017, after conquering their domestic rival in the grand final of the Asian closed qualifier 2-0 (16-5 de_mirage and 19-17 de_dust2).

The two-day online qualifier hosted on Singaporean servers has come to an end, which displayed eight teams from the Asia-Pacific region. The Aussies, Chiefs pulled out of the competition a day before it commenced, due to qualifying with substitutes and players having personal scheduling issues.

Down to seven participants, VG.CyberZen was gifted a forfeit win, where they moved on to the semi-finals. Their fellow countrymen, 5POWER and TYLOO were pit against each other in the quarters, and YuanZhang "Attacker" Sheng's side powered through their domestic opponent in 2-0 fashion.

TyLoo make another appearance at DreamHack Masters

Meanwhile, Hansel "BnTeT" Ferdinand led his new team, Recca to victory against the ROG Masters champions, The MongolZ taking the series 2-0 after a difficult battle on the first map, that ran into overtime. Thailand's Signature stomped Risky on Mirage easily, allowing the Emiratis only three rounds on the table. Sattawut "Leaf" Reathong's side progressed to semis after managing to take the following map on Train, which went to all thirty rounds.

Heading into the second day of the qualifier, Signature faced off against the strongest opposition in their region, TYLOO. The Thai squad played it close against the Chinese in the first half of both maps, but eventually was shut down by Captain Ke "captainMo" Liu's impressive performance.

The other match-up showcased an all-out battlefield between the other Chinese team, VG.CyberZen and Indonesia's Recca. Despite the valiant efforts of BnTeT, the Asian version of NiKo, his journey came to a pause as Bin "Savage" Liu's VG.CyberZen accomplished the reverse sweep from behind.

As expected, the two Chinese favourites climbed to the final stage. Both sides had not locked horns for over a month since the Asian Minor in Malaysia, where TYLOO got the upper hand against their rival once again. History repeats itself when the two Chinese warriors duke it out in another clash of titans.  In the form of Attacker and YuLun "Summer" Cai, who exploded for TYLOO in the two map series, it was another convincing victory for them.

They won one BO3 in October in the Minor, but then CZ had to play Renegades in the final (winner won his seat for the Major's qualifier), they lost so they went to the loser bracket final and lost to TyLoo. So their first win vs TyLoo on that tourney ended up being useless. TyLoo won the confirmation final vs Renegades (30.000$ + seat for the Major's qualifier for TyLoo, 15k + seat for Renegades and 5k for CZ).
