The open part of the European DreamHack Masters Las Vegas qualifier has been brought to an end, with eight teams securing a spot in the closed part of the qualifier.

Following TYLOO grabbing the Asian slot at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas over VG.CyberZen, the action moved to Europe where the Open Qualifier took place. The qualifier featured more than 200 teams battling it out in a best-of-one single-elimination format.

STYKO's HellRaisers made it to the closed qualifier over fnatic Academy

With eight teams moving on to the closed qualifier, the round of sixteen matches were the most exciting ones as they decided which teams were going to be moving on.

In the matches, we saw fnatic Academy pushing HellRaisers pretty far but falling to the CIS team in the end, Tricked demolishing GCG and DarkPassage cruising past the new Vexed team.

The NRG trio mix of Fatih "⁠gob b⁠" Dayik, Nikola "⁠LEGIJA⁠" Ninić and Johannes "⁠tabseN⁠" Wodarz mixed with Johannes "⁠nex⁠" Maget and Stefan "⁠stfN⁠" Seier under the name hmm and also secured a spot in the next round, but the Germans of ALTERNATE aTTaX weren't able to do the same, falling to EPG 16-9.

The following teams made it to the closed qualifier:

EPG	DarkPassage	Rogue	PRIDE

The eight open qualifier team will be joined by eight invited teams in the closed qualifier stage to battle for one of the four available DreamHack Masters Las Vegas LAN slots.

I think this is more like a mix team. It's normal that some (semi)pro players are attending to qualifiers in a mix of their team is not able to attend there. Maybe they are creating a new team with this roster because currently there is "big" shuffle in the german scene. But we will see. ^^
