FaZe defeat Cloud9

The third match of the tournament kicked off with Mike "⁠shroud⁠" Grzesiek's double kill which gave his CT-sided team the first round of the map. Although FaZe planted the bomb in the third round, the North Americans won the two anti-ecos.

FaZe planted the bomb again, this time in the fourth round but Cloud9 stood firm and extended their lead to 4-0. Jordan "⁠n0thing⁠" Gilbert & co. started the match with an eight round streak which was ended by Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen's 1vs1 win against shroud. Cloud9, unfazed, secured the following two rounds but were steamrolled in the remaining rounds of the half. FaZe trailed 5-10 at halftime.

The European squad picked up the second half pistol round despite a man disadvantage thanks to karrigan's smoke defuse which initiated the comeback effort. FaZe denied Cloud9's early third round buy, securing their eighth round but just when they were about to tie the game at 10-10, Jake "⁠Stewie2K⁠" Yip and Timothy "⁠autimatic⁠" Ta opened up the round and Cloud9 made the score 11-9.

FaZe answered swiftly with Fabien "⁠kioShiMa⁠" Fiey's triple and Philip "⁠aizy⁠" Aistrup's double kill to get their tenth round and then tied the game at 11-11. After this point, Stewie2K showed up with his entry kills and Cloud9 acquired four match points. FaZe continued their trend and came back to take the match to overtime after Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli's ace in the last round.

FaZe started overtime on the CT-side and denied Cloud9's attempts to control Middle and B-site in the first two rounds. Tyler "⁠Skadoodle⁠" Latham's team picked up the last round and finished the half 16-17 behind. After Cloud9 tied the game at 17-17, FaZe pushed on to the A-site and won the round. By securing the following round as well, FaZe won the match 19-17.
