Cloud9 ease past CLG

In the fourth round's last match for elimination, Cloud9 faced CLG on Mirage which began with each team grabbing two rounds. Yassine "⁠Subroza⁠" Taoufik then clutched a 1v4 with fantastic usage of a smoke at the end, which gave his team two more rounds before Cloud9 took over again.

Defending each bombsite comfortably, Jordan "⁠n0thing⁠" Gilbert's team went up 5-4 before they broke their opponents economy after trading the next two on the B bombsite. A close situation on A ended with "⁠⁠" clutching the 1v1, while Tyler "⁠Skadoodle⁠" Latham's triple in another solid defense on B made the half 9-6 for Cloud9.

The favorites also grabbed the second pistol round without losing any players, which extended their lead by three more rounds. CLG managed to defend B thanks to James "⁠hazed⁠" Cobb denying the bomb plant in a 3v3 and lost the following round on the same bombsite, but three saved weapons helped them survive the economy reset.

After Cloud9 ventured into B the reset happened anyway, which forced CLG on two unsuccessful shoddy buys as C9 advanced to the last round of the Main Qualifier at 16-8.
