Virtus.pro, NiP invited to IEM Katowice

Virtus.pro and Ninjas in Pyjamas are the first two teams to be confirmed for the $250,000 IEM Katowice 2017 that will take place from March 1-5.

ESL has revealed the first two teams to receive the invite for the first IEM event of the year which will take place in Katowice, Poland. As was previously announced, the tournament will follow the same format as last year's IEM Katowice and Oakland tournaments, with 12 teams in attendance and round-robin best-of-one groups.

PashaBiceps and co. will be playing in Katowice once again

The first two invited teams are the home crowd favorites - Virtus.pro, and the team with fans all over the world - Ninjas in Pyjamas. Six more invited teams will be revealed in the coming days, while others will have to try to earn their place in Katowice through a series of open and closed qualifiers.
