Only four teams remain at DreamHack ASTRO Open Leipzig 2017 following the conclusion of the double-elimination group stage.
The biggest surprise of day two of DreamHack Leipzig came in the form of the elimination of ESEA Season 23 Global Challenge champions Rogue, who were defeated by BIG on two maps in Group B's elimination match.
nex was on fire against Vega Squadron
The German team, who were formally announced at the start of the year, delivered another great performance in the elimination match to beat Vega Squadron 2-0 and move on to the playoffs, with Johannes "nex" Maget the MVP of the series with an impressive 1.55 Rating/+33 KD.

With Heroic already through to the last-four stage, Group A resumed with a Swedish derby between Fnatic Academy and qwerty, with the former coming out on top on just two maps (16-9 on Cache and 16-2 on Train).
Fnatic Academy went on to face LDLC in the elimination match, and they even took the lead in the series with a 16-14 win on Cache. However, Kévin "Ex6TenZ" Droolans's men fought back and completed the reverse sweep with 16-8 and 16-14 victories on Overpass and Cobblestone, respectively.
