SK 2-1 FaZe for a place in the semis
SK Gaming defeated FaZe 2-1 (Mirage 7-16, Train 16-3, Overpass 16-5) in the last quarter final of the ELEAGUE Atlanta 2017 Major and will be moving on to play Virtus.pro in the semi-finals.
FaZe got off to a cracking start on Mirage as Fabien "kioShiMa" Fiey clutched a miraculous 1v2 on the B bomb site to get their first round in the series against SK. The Brazilian side got two round in a row to make the score 4-2, showing good signs early in the map, but were shortly shut down by FaZe who got on a roll on their Terrorist side.
With a 9-2 lead, FaZepulled off a fake that will probably go down in history. Håvard "rain" Nygaard made his way into the A site and then pushed connector and got a kill on Fernando "fer" Alvarenga who was spotting mid from window. After frags were traded on A, kioShiMa and Aleksi "allu" Jalli entered the B bombsite while SK was stuck trying to retake the wrong bombsite.
Nothing was going SK's way on the CT side of Mirage, after losing the fake round they couldn't clutch out any of the 1v1 or 2v2 situations and finished the half 12-3 down. Despite fer's attempt to start a comeback on the Terrorist side, FaZe closed out the first map with a comfortable 16-7 scoreline.

FaZe took Mirage with ease
SK's pick Train followed, and the Brazilian team showed why they were known as the best Train team right from the start. After picking up the pistol round with an A main and ivy split, SK outpicked FaZe double AWP setup in the first gun round and clutched a 3v4 on B to make it 6-0.
FaZe replied with an eco round win and secured the following round to make it 6-2, but SK replied with a few close rounds again to extend their lead to 9-2 on the Terrorist side. After losing a round due to the time running out, Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo and co. turned up the pace and rushed the A bombsite, taking it over with ease.
With a 12-3 advantage moving into the more favored CT side, SK had an easy job closing out the map 16-3 after winning the second pistol round.

TACO lead with K-D difference on Train
Another great start for SK followed on Overpass where the Brazilian side got a 6-0 lead by shutting down FaZe with early aggression. The European team adapted by hitting B early two times in a row with extremely fast rushes, using utility to break SK's defenses, but weren't able to follow it up with a third round to break SK's economy.
7-2 down and in a 2v5 situation after fer and FalleN picked off three of their teammates, kioShiMa and Finn "karrigan" Andersen managed to pick off the defending CT players one by one and clutch the round in the end to start their comeback in the first half.
At 7-5 FalleN played a key part in SK retaking the A site by staying alive in the bathroom area to allow his team to retake the site and close out the half 10-5. The Brazilians took the momentum over into the second half, winning the Terrorist pistol round and following two to go 13-5 up.
The first gun round came down to a 2v3 after plant on B, but SK clutched it out to make it 14-5, allowing them to close out the map and the series shortly.
