A new Swedish team takes form

Today a new Swedish lineup was announced. The former NiP player blomstar along with several known faces form a new lineup that play under the name Games4u.se.

Players from teams such as playzone and NiP take place in this new Swedish team. The goals and ambitions are high, and we got a hold of the team captain Givar "givar" Shabani who shared a few minutes:

This is a newly formed team, how did the formation take place?

Well first hajjen contacted me and told me that blomstar’s Sabbath was over and that he wanted to start playing again. He asked me if I wanted to take part of the making, and it would have been a bad decision not to! I picked up malaria and last but least we got BARBARR and so here we are!

The team will have their debut this weekend at the Inferno Online League LAN finals, what ambitions do you have and how have you prepared?

Yeah, we had planned to train really hard before the IOL but the Christmas weekend came in between, the New Year, and all of the sudden it was only a week left. We have done our best online and we will manage to schedule a bootcamp before the weekend! We’ll have to rely on our individual skill for some of the way.

What are the plans after that? Where do you see yourself be placed within Sweden?

The team hopes to and has plans on going far with hard and efficient training. We don’t want to sound too cocky but we hope that we can harm and become part of the top5 within Sweden.

The new lineup playing for Games4u.se is:

Sweden Givar "givar" Shabani
Sweden Fabian "blomstar" Åkermark
Sweden André "BARBARR" Möller
Sweden Samuel "malaria" Siouffi
Sweden Johan "hajjen" Brodén

The team will be playing along with plenty of others this weekend at the Inferno Online League LAN finals. Time will tell how far the team go’s and we hope for the best.

My guess, get thrown out of ESL Pro Series Scandinavia and die out / stay as a mix team tag.

I doubt there will be a team under NiP's flag, and even if there would I don't think the oldschool NiP players would play for them, as most of them are satisfied with their teams. And if there would be a team under NiP's flag then I guess it would a "semielite"-team such as the team they are talking about in the newsthread, and to be honest they wouldn't stick together as long as we would expect and it would be bad for the organization.

First answer to your other post: Yes, playzone was BARBARR's team but they changed players more often than you and I change underpants. Even more often than his real mixteam AWTR.

Hajjen has played with Blomstar a lot before last year. He has played for a long period of time within Sweden. A known player at least! For instance he and blomstar beat SK 2-0 in a Swedish WCG qualifier.
