Maniac joins LDLC

Mathieu "Maniac" Quiquerez has been signed by LDLC and will be representing the French organization starting with the upcoming season of ESL Pro League.

Mathieu "⁠Maniac⁠" Quiquerez retired as a CS player towards the end of 2015, leaving Kévin "⁠Ex6TenZ⁠" Droolans's Titan after an unfruitful period with the team.

The Swiss player remained active in the French scene though, joining EnVyUs as a coach in the beginning of 2016, but held the position for only six months before deciding he would try out playing once again.

Maniac returns to a French-speaking roster

In the second part of 2016 Maniac made his comeback as a player and joined Unity that later became Rogue. The international team was not a particularly successful venture for the Swiss player and he was left teamless once again in October.

Maniac will now reunite with Ex6TenZ in LDLC, returning to a French-speaking team after more than a year of exile. Maniac will be filling the gap left by Alexandre "⁠xms⁠" Forté who will presumably be joining Vincent "⁠Happy⁠" Schopenhauer's new team.

Maniac gave the following statement to team-ldlc.com:

"When LDLC called me and offered me a spot I did not need to think more than a second. I followed their evolution very closely and I have been amazed by what they have achieved."

Yeah -mistou and +Scream. Now that Scream is left without a team from this whole shuffle, he could join his old Belgian buddy and potentially make LDLC into a half decent team.

It's not being loyal to losing but to your teammates, swapping teammates instead of correcting your errors isn't the proper way. Look at VP they didn't do a roster chance since they won in 2014 even not winning shit after and they have won EL S1 2016 and made it to the finals @EL Major '17.

They are tier1 and have been winning since they formed. LDLC are tier2-3 and have not won anything worth mentioning. This game is a career for these guys if they get offered a chance at the top they better take it. Players play for years and never get that kind of opportunity.
