DreamHack Masters Las Vegas 2017NiP eliminate TyLoo in Las Vegas
Ninjas in Pyjamas have moved on to Group C's decider match at DreamHack Masters Las Vegas after easing past TyLoo 16-5 on Cobblestone.
The match began with NiP taking the pistol round in convincing fashion thanks to a quad kill from Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg, and following it up with the corresponding anti-ecos. The first two gun rounds would go to TyLoo, however, thanks to key opening frags from Ke "captainMo" Liu with the AWP.
NiP then regained control of the game, putting the Chinese team in a rough economic situation. Zhen "HZ" Huang put in some great multi-kill rounds until the end of the half, including a quad kill right before the end, but TyLoo still found themselves trailing their opponents by five rounds.
NiP live to fight another day in Vegas
The Swedish team piled even more misery on their opponents by winning the pistol round as CT with a B retake. As the game wore on, TyLoo spiraled into a state of disarray, which resulted in NiP calmly locking down the map without giving up a single round on the CT side.
Key moment: Richard "Xizt" Landström's 1on1 at 6-4. TyLoo had just won two rounds and, had they made it three in a row, NiP's economy would have been in shambles.
PotM: Richard "Xizt" Landström gets the award after finishing the match at the top of the scoreboard with 21 kills and contributing in some way in all but one round throughout the game. He also had six opening kills, five of which on the Terrorist side.
