mouz secure first place in group D

mousesports defeated FaZe (16-10 on Mirage) to clinch the first place in group D and a spot in the playoffs of DreamHack Masters Las Vegas.

The early phase of the game went the way of FaZe who were up 6-2 before MOUZ started to stabilize on their CT side. Contrary to what we are used to seeing from MOUZ, all of their players were contributing in round wins and they managed to get to seven CT side rounds before FaZe closed out the half with an 8-7 lead.

oskar is looking good in Las Vegas

MOUZ came out on top of a chaotic pistol round, and a similar scenario repeated in the following round with Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný clutching a 1v1 against Aleksi "⁠allu⁠" Jalli to get a 9-8 lead. The Czech AWPer had a multitude of high impact kills on the T side that got MOUZ to 13-10 lead.

The following round was on Nikola "⁠NiKo⁠" Kovač who got a kill in A palace and then shut down FaZe with three more on the window room lurk while his team was pushing A. Despite Finn "⁠karrigan⁠" Andersen's UMP-45 antics in the B house that yielded him two kills, MOUZ were able to close out the last round to make the score 16-10.

Key Moment: In round 23, oskar got three AWP picks entering B, demolishing FaZe's defense and securing a key round for MOUZ who were in a tight spot economically.

PotM: Tomáš "⁠oskar⁠" Šťastný was dominant with the AWP, getting 24 kills with his main weapon and 33 in total. Adding to that a +4 first kill difference and his big play in the key moment of the match, he easily takes the PotM award.

He gave a hint on his stream that he doesn't get along with someone on the team and when asked whether that is CrisJ he only smiled or looked at the webcam without saying anything. I think you saw when they played chrisJ was still on mousesports, oskar wasnt the main awp and was a rifler. He couldn't perform the way he wanted.

hltv rating includes the following: - kills per round - survived rounds per round - a value based on number of rounds with multiple kills I didn't watch the game, but maybe rain had a couple of high impact rounds (2k/3k/4K) that kio dindn't have?

Everyone is blaming faze but have you seen mouz playstyle? It was 100% fpl. They knew that niko throw by playing aggressive and they played the same. It was almost a rush every round which nobody ever played like this as PRO in a tournament. Plus niko played with 0 pressure since he knows he goes to faze that's all
