kRYSTAL to remain in PENTA

The future of Kevin "kRYSTAL" Amend was up in the air during the past few weeks, but the German player has finally decided to re-sign with PENTA.

Earlier this month—just two weeks after PENTA signed the Finnish player Miikka "⁠suNny⁠" Kemppi—one of the team’s stalwarts, Kevin "⁠kRYSTAL⁠" Amend, who played two Majors under the PENTA banner, announced he was open to hearing offers from other teams as his contract had expired.

Today, PENTA has announced that he and the team have reached an agreement and the player will remain with the German organization as they have settled upon terms to extend his contract for one more year.

Here is what the team and player had to say about signing the new contract:

"Today we are pleased to announce that kRYSTAL renewed his contract with PENTA. After a few talks we found the perfect arrangement for both sides and now we're looking into a bright future!

"Since we just found back to our old/new core we cant wait for the next announcement within short time, so we can find our way back to the top!

yeee i remember times where krystal was the best awper in germany. if there was a decent german team, he'd certainly be their awper. nowadays hes just a shitter trying to fit in somehow. i dont follow our scene in depth (would embarrass me) but other germans have told me he seels quite nicely in germany, prob bcs he isnt terribly ugly like the others.

I don't think i'll ever really understand why the 2015 penta to mouz move didn't include krystal. He was by far more impressive than chrisJ on lan at the time back when chrisJ was still called onlineJ for a reason.

i deffffinitely disagree. also its known that chrisj had problems on LAN for a reason, and they certainly had the impression they could fix them. for example he said like he would go to sleep at like 5am usually at home and then play all night but ofc on lan he cant do dat. and similar shit. good for them they went with chrisj, who actually is a top awper in the world at this point.
