To commemorate Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth's record-breaking 13 1vX wins at a big event, HLTV.org's moviemaker Marcos "proutounz" Soares put together a four-minute video containing all of the Danes clutches at IEM Katowice 2017.

Andreas "⁠Xyp9x⁠" Højsleth's individual contributions seemed to be on the rise since Astralis changed their in-game leader to Lukas "⁠gla1ve⁠" Rossander, but the 21-year-old hit peak from in Katowice as he broke the record for 1vX situations wins at a big event, previously held by Janusz "⁠Snax⁠" Pogorzelski.

To start it off, Xyp9x's 1vX wins denied OpTic a chance to get an upset win in the opener, he then secured crucial rounds in Astralis' overtime wins over fnatic and Ninjas in Pyjamas and added a couple more in the playoffs against Natus Vincere and FaZe.

Dude, Astralis/ex-TSM/ex-dignitas have been a top 5 team since 2013. They have had some slumps here and there but, they have qualified for every single major playoffs expect the first 1 where they were not a team. So no, they didn't you just get good in 1 month. They had a increase in performance and started to win more in the spand of a couple of months yea

throwing, are you baiting??? astralis was first dignitas, then team SOLOMID, then Quistionmark and now Astralis. XYP9X HAVE BEEN IN THE CORE LINEUP EVER SINCE DAY ONE. and the teams worst world ranking ever was last year when kjearbye was joining astralis, i think in late summer they was ranked 12th best team in the world, THAT IS THE FUCKING WEAKEST THEY HAVE EVER BEEN. first lineup, xyp9X, device, dupreeh, fetish, cajunb, second lineup, xyp9x, device, dupreeh, Karrigan, cajunb. third lineup, xyp9s, device, dupreeh, karrigan, kjaerbye. 4th lineup, xyp9s, device, dupreeh, glaive, kjaerbye. ranked no 1 with team.solomid and Astralis. ranked 3th and 4th with dignitas and Quistionmark. xyp9s was the best support in the world when dignitas was top3, xyp9s was still top10 support player when they was #no1 world with team.solomid - but in TSM he was becoming a GODLIKE clutch king, like top10 clutchmaster already in TSM. yes xyp9s was silent when they leaved TSM and in the making of astralis, because xyp9s is a very calm player who performs best in safe environment - look at him, he is the silent, peacemaster.. yes like a real clutchmaster, always calm, and no pulse.. xyp9x was out of top10 with fnatic in the start of cs.go in 2012/2013 with xyp9x, friis, moddi, karrigan, trace. so from late 2013/14 until 2017 NOW - xyp9s have been in a top10 team, and 2014, 2015 he was the godlike support player with the maybe best K/D together with krimz and nbk... xypn9s have always been a monster talent, from the start he was only playing against the best players and teams, so he got 1000 official matches and only against the best.. it is insane when you think back to cs.go start, xyp9s signed a conctract with fnatic, so xyp9s, karrigan, NiP and the golden5 was the first pro players in cs.go. so dont ever fucking tell me or no one, that xyp9s and astralis is cheating, or is becoming no1 in like one month... xyp9s is so talented, he have been a tier1 player and in a tier1 team since 2013 until 2017.... have noobs dont know shit... xyp9s is the most loyal player in cs.go. so calm, so respectful.. the perfect team player, and you can trust him... everyone knows deep in your hearts that xyp9x dont cheat

i appreciate the effort and additional editing, but sometimes frags came too fast after introduction, so you cant even get the grasp on what's the current situation is. Such approach more fitting to regular fragmovies but to showcase clutch moments you need different pacing, in best moments maybe show how he reacts when his teammates die, toggle x-ray to show how he reads enemy movements etc. . anyways, good vid

this video is actually really well done (apart from the annoying csgofast bullshit) and legit ROFL at karrigans pic XD unfortunately it really sounds more exciting than it is. some of the kills shown in between the clutches are actually more impressive than the actual clutches. sure props to xyp for pulling it off this consistently but its not really that special winning a 1v2 afterplant when they dont have much time/dunno where u are/dont have utility, ya feel me?

Consistency is the key point here. If you have a guy that can consistently win 1v1s and occasionally clutch out 1v2s and 1v3s, then he's invaluable to your team.

i know, but this kind of shit doesnt necessarily make for a great frag movie. if u look for example at the round where he comes out A halls on mirage and kills guardian in the back, u probably need to see the whole round to see how he got to that spot to fully appreciate the clutch.

half of these clutches were vs optic on train which they suck on, the other half is xypnix winning the afterplant after his team did the work just by sitting around a corner and waiting for the other guys to try to defuse without checking the site first, oh and astralis fucking cheat
