Virtus.pro ease past MVP Project

Virtus.pro eased past MVP Project in the first round of the Swiss group stage (16-4 on Mirage).

The second match of SL i-League StarSeries Season 3 Finals saw the Korean side MVP Project in an uphill battle against Virtus.pro on Mirage.

Stacking the B bombsite with three players, Hyun-Pyo "XigN" Lee's squad picked up the first pistol round and survived the following two rounds to go up 3-0 early on.

From there on, it was the Virtus.pro show as expected, as the Poles clinched two afterplant situations on the A bombsite to even the score at 3-3, and Filip "NEO" Kubski's AWP triple pushed the score to 5-3 in their favor.
XigN saving a 1v3 attempt from Paweł "byali" Bieliński lowered MVP Project's deficit to one, but it was all for naught as the Koreans' economy was broken shortly afterwards.

Virtus.pro power through MVP Project

XigN saving a 1v3 attempt from byali lowered MVP Project's deficit to one, but it was all for naught as the Koreans' economy was broken shortly afterwards.

The remainder of the half went the way of VP comfortably for a 11-4 scoreline and the following pistol round added to their name meant MVP Project's chances of coming back were next to none. Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas's 1v1 defuse in a smoke gave his team map point and VP closed out the match at 16-4.

PotM: While everyone from Virtus.pro put up great numbers, Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski's six opening kills as well as consistent contribution (at least one kill in 13 rounds) put him above the rest.

why title says "VP ease past MVP" in this article and "North beat Immortals" in the other when MVP got 33% more rounds than IMT? fucking biased writers

yeah ofc, they always write "ease past" or "cruise past" or "crush" when it's a one-sided game, and usually "beat" when it's a "normal" game (16-9, 16-11 etc.). But now they write "North beat IMT" even though IMT got fucking ridiculed, while MVP who got more rounds got the "ease past"-treatment

Sometimes 16-4 could be easier than 16-3 game. You have to consider what happens in certain rounds.

both games were blowouts and their articles should have used the same terminology imo

Mvp looked so pressured and nervous.. they missed plenty of shots and i could see them having so much hesitations:( Only if they didnt fear of VP, they could have more satisfying result not like 4-16
