G2 overrun HellRaisers

The match began with G2 winning the pistol round thanks to a triple kill from Nathan "⁠NBK-⁠" Schmitt and following it up with the corresponding anti-ecos to get out to a 3-0 lead. HellRaisers went into the first gun round without a single AWP, which turned out to be a mistake as they had no response to G2's blistering pace.

After an eco round, Bence "⁠DeadFox⁠" Böröcz finally got an AWP, but he was taken down by Richard "⁠shox⁠" Papillon even before he could use it, giving G2 a free route towards the B site. Down 0-6, the European mixture called a tactical pause to discuss their options, and the move paid off instantly as they got a round on the board thanks to two kills from Kyrylo "⁠ANGE1⁠" Karasiow early on.

G2 replied with a well-executed A split thanks to two great entry frags from Alexandre "⁠bodyy⁠" Pianaro, damaging their opponents' economy. Expecting a full eco from HellRaisers, G2 went for a fast B execute, only to be destroyed by a shoddy buy from ANGE1's men. Still, the Frenchmen had plenty of money to work with and immediately regained control of the game, taking six more rounds before the end of the half to take a commanding 13-2 lead.

The French team piled even more pressure on HellRaisers by taking the pistol round as CT, with bodyy getting three more frags to his name. A force-buy from HellRaisers failed to pay dividends, putting G2 on match point, and the Frenchmen followed that up with another round to seal a convincing 16-2 victory.

PoTM: Alexandre "⁠bodyy⁠" Pianaro was one of G2's top fraggers during the match and had a 101.0 ADR. He picked up many key entry frags on the Terrorist side and got three kills in the pistol round as CT to put his team on the brink of victory.
