ESL Pro League S5 relegation schedule
ESL has released details about the Pro League Season 5 relegation matches, with the dates and format now known.
With the end of the ESL Pro League Season 5 around the corner, ESL has published information on the relegation matches that will take place to decide which teams will be playing in Pro League next season.
The fight for Pro League will take place in May
Comparing it to last season, the EPL S5 relegation format has been slightly changed, and will now feature a four-team double-elimination bracket in which the 12th and 13th placed teams from Pro League will meet the 2nd and 3rd placed teams from ESEA Premier.
The ESL Pro League Season 5 relegation matches are set to be played on the following dates, for both regions:
Tuesday, May 16th: two opening bo3 matchesWednesday, May 17th: winners’ bo3 match and elimination bo3 matchThursday, May 18th: decider bo3 matchTuesday, May 16th: Two opening BO3 matches
Wednesday, May 17th: Winners’ and elimination BO3 matches
Thursday, May 18th: Decider BO3 match
As we saw with Splyce last week, the team that wins the Premier playoffs automatically gets promoted to the Pro division, replacing the last placed Pro team from the previous season.
The playoffs for the European division of ESEA Premier have kicked off today, with teams such as BIG, Gambit and GODSENT looking for promotion to Pro League.
