NiP knock out GODSENT

Ninjas in Pyjamas took control of map one, Train, right at the beginning with Richard "⁠Xizt⁠" Landström picking up three kills. GODSENT bought up in the third round, but they were met with a forceful defense as their Swedish rivals went up 6-0.

Simon "⁠twist⁠" Eliasson's triple gave his squad their first round on the board, but their economy was in shreds right afterwards, as William "⁠draken⁠" Sundin kept getting picks all across the map, extending the lead to 11-1. Xizt then clutched a 1v1 with a last-second defuse before Markus "⁠pronax⁠" Wallsten and Jonas "⁠Lekr0⁠" Olofsson finished the half with a triple and a 1v1, respectively.

When Patrik "⁠f0rest⁠" Lindberg got three crucial kills in the second pistol round, there was little GODSENT could do to prevent Ninjas in Pyjamas clinching the first map, which they did at 16-3.

Ninjas in Pyjamas once again got off to a flying start on Cache, their own pick, getting a 4-0 lead with the pistol round and the first gunround going their way. twist then put up a triple with a saved weapon before draken clutched a flashy 1v3 for a 5-1 lead in favor of Ninjas in Pyjamas.

The next two rounds went GODSENT's way, but an eco win by their opponents on the B bombsite stopped the streak in its infancy and set off one for Ninjas in Pyjamas in turn. Forcing pronax's squad on ecos over and over, Christopher "⁠GeT_RiGhT⁠" Alesund and company secured a 11-4 half.

Andreas "⁠znajder⁠" Lindberg's four kills in the pistol and twist's near-impossible 1v2 clutch in one of the following anti-ecos closed the gap to 11-7. Ninjas in Pyjamas then grabbed the first two gunrounds on the A bombsite, which forced GODSENT on an eco, and grabbed match point at 15-7. znajder and company mustered a poor buy and delayed for one round, but it wasn't nearly enough to mount a comeback as draken picked up three kills on the B bombsite to finish the match at 16-8.
