Gambit are through to the Upper Bracket final at cs_summit after defeating Liquid 2-0 (16-1 on Train and 19-17 on Nuke).
The first map of the series was Train, Gambit's pick, and it was a complete blowout, with the European side storming to an 8-0 lead as Liquid had no response to the pace set by Danylo "Zeus" Teslenko's men.
After calling a timeout, Liquid finally got a round on the board, courtesy of a 1v2 clutch by Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski, but Gambit hit back in the following round and prevented the North Americans from having any economic development. The Kazakhstani iside remained in the driving seat and closed out the half with a commanding 14-1 lead, with Abay "HObbit" Khassenov hitting 25 kills.
Now playing on the CT side, Gambit shut Liquid down in the pistol in convincing fashion in the pistol round and followed it up with another round to lock down the map, 16-1.

Next up was Nuke, which began with a trio of Glock headshots from EliGE to help Liquid to overturn a 2v3 situation. The North Americans put together a string of rounds and eventually jumped out to a 5-1 lead, forcing Gambit to call a tactical pause.
After that, things finally started going Gambit's way, thanks to a series of strong rounds from Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubayev. The European side eventually restored parity at 7-7 before Liquid won the final round of the half with a tec9 push.
Liquid further added to their lead by taking the first three rounds on the CT side. With their economy in shambles, Gambit managed to get a round with a force buy. That was the start of a great run from the Kazakhstani team, who would win seven of the next nine rounds to hit match point before Liquid picked up two in a row to force overtime.
Starting out on the CT side, Liquid won two rounds in the first half of overtime, but some rushed calls on the Terrorist allowed Gambit to turn the score around and seal a 2-0 victory.
