DreamHack Open Austin 2017Gambit to DH Austin semis over HR
Gambit are the first team through to the playoffs at DreamHack Austin after defeating HellRaisers 16-7 on Nuke.
The match began with Gambit, who started out on the Terrorist side, being successful in their lower site execute, with Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubayev getting four kills to his name.
The first gun round then went HellRaisers' way, but since it was a shoddy buy from Gambit it not really dent their economy. The Kazakhstani team would hit back in the following round to restore a three-round lead, only to lose an anti-eco afterwards.

HellRaisers started stringing rounds together and eventually got out to a 5-4 lead. Gambit were not going to let their opponents run away with the lead, however, and restored parity on the back of a quad kill from Rustem "mou" Telepov. That turned out to be a decisive action as Gambit outplayed HR for the rest of the half to take a commanding 10-5 lead.
Gambit further added to their lead after denying HellRaisers' A push in the pistol round with a trio of kills from AdreN, who was now on 22 frags. After losing both ecos, HellRaisers still tried to get back into the game, but every round that went their way was immediately countered by Gambit, who quickly locked down the map.
