CIS Minor qualifiers announced

Starladder has announced the first details about the qualifying process for the CIS Minor.

The qualifiers will begin on May 13-14 with an open bracket, featuring up to 512 teams from 12 Eastern European countries.

The top four teams from the open qualifier will advance to the closed stage, in which they will be joined by 12 invited teams. These 16 sides will be split into four GSL groups, with eight teams advancing to the Minor.

More details about the Minor, which will run from June 8-11 at an as-yet unspecified location, will be released by Starladder next week, HLTV.org has learned.

Below you can find the 12 teams who have been invited to compete in the closed stage, which will run from May 16-19:

Danish teams remove players instantly if they play bad. They become much stronger after that. Spirit kicked kibaken who underperformed more than a year and they only made changes about a month ago I guess. Some players just don't want changes. Little had a chance to play in tier 2 teams at least, but now he's in Spartak playing with unknown people

We all know we need a CIS minor ambassador to knock out NiP in the qualifier again. The major organizers are all hoping for this as well because behind closed doors, they honestly don't want a shitty washed up tier 3 team like NiP trying to make their group exit run at the majors and diluting the competition and having boring one sided matched where they're getting stomped. Doesn't help that NiP's logo and colors are dogshit ugly, their team is unmarketable right now because of how much of a joke and meme they are (and how shitty and washed up they are and have been performing), and people love to root and watch underdogs and new teams/up-n-comers (Vega Squadron, Tyloo, previous liquid with s1mple, teams like faze/kinguin in previous major/qualifiers, etc) because it's exciting and fun, and top tier contenders (NaVi, SK, Astralis, etc) instead of washed up has-beens.
