CS:GO coming back to ELEAGUE

The North American tournament organizer ELEAGUE has announced that they will be coming back to Counter-Strike this September.

ELEAGUE, the Atlanta-based organizer with ties to the Turner network and WME-IMG has revealed that they will be doing more CS:GO in the second half of this year.

ELEAGUE's first CS:GO season was announced in December of 2015, with Virtus.pro winning the title, taking home $400,000. The second season kicked off in the latter half of last year and ended with a massive surprise as OpTic took home the title, defeating Astralis in the grand final.

CS to be shown on TBS again soon

After finishing off the first Major of the year, ELEAGUE Atlanta 2017, the organizer took on Street Fighter V and put CS:GO on hold. But the pause wasn't long, as the return of CS:GO to ELEAGUE was announced last night.

CS:GO on ELEAGUE will premiere on September 1st on TBS, but other details about the competition are still unknown.

gets more name brand out there. Even if its just one tournament. For example, even if eleague doesn't do another csgo event for 2-3 years if they ever come back they will be remembered as "oh that cool event they are so awesome I'm glad I see them hosting another event again". That's the thing they are going for in all games.

I like how eleague has the best production value and is on TV so you dont have to deal with lag or quality drops or twitch chat but people hate it just because its in NA and they dont like the time

NA company will cater to people in NA because that is where they get their money. Everyone else literally doesn't matter to them. Twitch audience doesn't make them any money. TV NA makes them money.

Im fine with the Na times, goes both ways. Just can't stand the music or Lewis as a host. I like his other kind of content but as a host he is so meh. Hope they go for someone else this time. Also 30 sec analysis and 3 min commercials is a fucking turn off, at least make the analyst segment longer. As it is now it makes it feel cheap and unprofessional

Eleague has best producer for cs period. Nobody to this day holds a candle to how Alchemist5 see's and produces a game. (Obviously not taking in PGL their new system yet as we haven't seen it in live action yet) Add to this that every single game is on lan which is already very rare id say this is arguably a really good thing.
